Heres how to earn the Holger 26 LMG in Call of Duty: Mobile

The Holger 26 is the newest addition to your ever-growing arsenal in Call of Duty: Mobile. The weapon is the second weapon added to the game with the Season 4- Spurned and Burned update. The first was the MK2 marksman rifle that would unlock when players reached Tier 21 in the free Battle Pass. The Holger 26 can be unlocked via a Season Challenge called Holder Strike. As with all such challenges, players can earn a bunch of other rewards along the way.

Here is what you need to do in order to unlock the Holger 26 in Call of Duty: Mobile Kill 30 enemies in any game mode - 10x Weapon XP cards, 1000x Battle Pass XP Kill 20 enemies with any Assault Rifle equipped with 5 attachments - Smoke Grenade (Wanted), 1500x Battle Pass XP Kill 15 enemies with Headshots using LMG - M21 EBR (Carrion), 2000x Battle Pass XP Kill 30 enemies with any LMG equipped with any magazine and 4 attachments - Spray (Eternal Slumber), 2000x Battle Pass XP Kill 30 enemies with any Assault Rifle with any charm attached - Holger 26 LMG, 3000x Battle Pass Kill 30 enemies with any Holger 26 with any 3 stickers attached - Deputised Frame, 4000x Battle Pass XP Holger 26 statistics

The Holger 26 is described as a very versatile weapon, especially when compared to its contemporaries in the LMG class. The weapon comes with a 100 round magazine by default. However, unlike most other weapons, the magazine attachments for the Holger 26 actually reduce the ammo capacity of the weapon. This can make the weapon more akin to Assault Rifles in terms of mobility. This combined with the weapon’s high fire rate and good recoil control makes it another option for mid-to-long range combat.

Online casual gaming market could increase to Rs 169 billion by FY25: KPMG report

Research firm, KPMG has released its newest report on the state of online gaming in India. Called ‘Beyond the tipping point -A primer on online casual gaming in India’, the report covers a host of topics. This ranges from the types of gamers in general to in-game advertising metrics. They also talk about the state of gaming in India during the COVID lockdown. Here’s a look at some key metrics from the report.

The firm notes that compared to global markets, online gaming in India is still at a very nascent stage. While the country has the second-highest number of gamers in the world, its Average Revenue Per User is still quite low compared to even other developing and comparable markets like Indonesia, Malaysia and South Africa. KMPG notes that there could be a number of reasons for this ranging from significantly lower GDP per capita of India as compared to mature gaming markets to a negative perception of gaming in India.

However, the firm did note that the potential of the casual gaming market in India is pretty huge. It states that while there are 433 million casual gamers in India right now, it is projected to balloon up to 657 million users by FY25. This means that the online casual gaming market could increase from Rs 60 billion to Rs 169 billion in the same time frame.

The report also noted that the In-App Purchases (IAP) in India rose quite a bit during the COVID lockdown in 2020. In Q1 2020, IAPs in India were around $37.6 million. However, by Q2 2020, this number rose by 52% to $57.1 million. By Q3 2020, this number slightly declined to $43.1, which is still higher than Q1.

Airtel begins 5G trials in Cyber Hub in Gurgaon with over 1Gbps speeds

Airtel has started 5G trials in Gurgaon ahead of an expected rollout early next year. While commercial 5G network won’t roll out anytime soon, telecom companies including Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea have received permission from the government to conduct trials in different regions of India. Airtel is trialling its 5G network in the Millennium city in Cyber Hub, Gurgaon where it has demonstrated its mettle by offering upto 1Gbps speeds.

According to a report by ET Telecom, Airtel is working with smartphone companies such as Apple, OnePlus, Realme, Oppo and more to test its 5G network in India. Apart from this network in Gurgaon, Airtel will also start testing its 5G network in Mumbai in the next few weeks. Airtel is using Ericsson 5G hardware for its trials which is in line with the DoT (Department of Telecom) guidelines. Airtel has been given 3500MHz, 28GHz and 700MHz bands in Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru to conduct its 5G trials.

The report also states that the DoT has allotted 700MHz, 3.5GHz and 26GHz bands to Vodafone Idea and Reliance Jio for testing 5G networks. Vodafone Idea will be using Nokia and Ericsson hardware while Jio is working with Samsung, Nokia, Ericsson apart from testing its indigenous 5G solution as well.

Airtel’s #5G trial network speeds in Gurgaon. Running on Ericsson gear. pic.twitter.com/nLctWjIHuX

— Danish (@DanishKh4n) June 14, 2021

ET Telecom’s Danish Khan uploaded a video on Twitter that showed Airtel 5G network running SpeedTest at over 1Gbps speeds. Danish said that the phone being used in the video is a OnePlus 8 series phone and that OnePlus issued a special patch to enable 5G on this particular phone. Going by the looks of it, the phone looks likely to be the OnePlus 8 Pro.

While Airtel is testing its 5G network, spectrum regulations do not allow the general public to have access to the next-generation network, and for good reasons. The telecom companies are starting to test out 5G networks to assess their performance and stability in the long run. These tests could go on for months as the DoT is yet to put 5G spectrum for auction and till that happens we are still at least a year away, if not more, from getting our hands on a commercial 5G network. Reliance Jio and Airtel, both have plans to launch their 5G services soon after the availability of the 5G spectrum in the country.

Battlegrounds Mobile India launch closer than you think

Looks like the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India is getting quite close. The developers are going ‘guns a blazing’ when it comes to teasing the launch of the title. However, the exact launch date is still unknown. However, the latest teaser of the game literally suggests that the launch is closer than what we may think.

When is Battlegrounds Mobile India launching?

According to a post on its official Facebook page, the devs note that the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India is “closer than you think.” Previously, professional players and streamers had hinted that the game may launch on June 18, which is this Friday. However, since nothing has been confirmed yet, we all have no other option other than waiting.

If you’ve somehow been living under a rock, Battlegrounds Mobile India is pretty much a re-branded version of PUBG Mobile India and will be exclusive to the country. This means that the game will feature exclusive Indian content. However, what that actually entails remains to be seen. What we do know is that those who pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store will receive a bunch of exclusive in-game items. This includes the Recon Mask, Recon outfit, Celebration Expert Title, and 300 AG. These can be claimed once the game goes live.

The developer, Krafton Inc., has announced that the game received 20 million pre-registrations in two weeks since being listed. In fact, it was noted that the game got 7.6 million pre-registrations on its opening day alone. By comparison, another highly anticipated mobile game, FAU-G (review) received just over a million votes within 24 hours of its pre-registration.

Unfortunately, there are still a bunch of imitator apps on the Google Play Store. As always, these apps are trying to cash in on the popularity of the game. These apps are usually poor imitators or low-quality games. As such, gamers are advised to be careful before pre-registering. A simple way to click here to go straight to the official listing of Battlegrounds India Mobile here.

Sony BRAVIA X90J powered by the Cognitive Processor XR launched in India priced at Rs 139,990

Sony announced its new Cognitive Processor XR back at CES 2021 in January and now we have the first TV powered by the XR processor launching in India. This is the Sony BRAVIA X90J. The TV is available in 55, 65 and 75-inch screen sizes.

What's new with the Cognitive Processor XR?

According to Sony, the chipset uses “a completely new processing method designed to replicate the ways humans see and hear”. Since TVs are getting quite large, rather than focusing on the entire screen there are times when we will focus on a particular part of the screen or a particular character. So, the processing will ensure that the focal point of content will look its best on the TV while maintaining the best possible details for everything else on the screen.

According to Sony, “the new processor can cross-analyze an array of elements at once, just as our brains do. By doing so, each element is adjusted to its best final outcome, in conjunction with each other, so everything is synchronized and lifelike – something that conventional AI cannot achieve”.

Sony says that “Cognitive Processor XR can also analyze sound position in the signal so the sound matches precisely with what's on the screen”. This may sound familiar as Sony Acoustic Surface technology found on its OLED TVs like the A8H (review) project sounds from specific parts of the screen to make it so that the sound is coming from where it should rather than below the TV. On Sony OLED with Acoustic Surface, the entire screen vibrates to produce sound making the entire screen the speaker.

Sony Bravia X90J Features and Specifications

Coming to the specifications of the X90J, as mentioned above the TV is available in three screen sizes - 55, 65 and 75 inches. The TV has Full Array backlighting with local dimming; however, we do not know the number of dimming zones. The TV has a 4K panel with support for HDR 10, Dolby Vision and HLG. The TV also supports eARC. The TV comes with four HDMI ports, two of which support HDMI 2.1 bringing 4K at 120Hz, ALLM and VRR. The TV also has a mini-AV port, two USB ports, headphones out, optical out and also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The TV also has an IMAX enhanced mode and light sensors which change the pictures settings based on the ambient light in the room.

With the power of the XR processor, the TV brings a bunch of features like dual database processing, XR 4K upscaling, XR Super Resolution, XR Triluminos Pro, XR Contrast Booster, XR HDR Remaster and more to enhance the viewing experience.

The TV has 20W of sound output and brings two full range (Bass Reflex) drivers and two tweeters.

The TV runs on the Google TV UI which we first saw on the Sony X80J that was released some time ago. The new UI is quite similar to what we’ve seen on the new Google Chromecast. The TV brings features like a Chromecast built-in, access to the Google Play Store to download popular apps and also support for Apple AirPlay. You can also control the TV with your Alexa speaker.

Sony BRAVIA X90J price and availability

The Sony BRAVIA X90J, 55-inch variant is priced at Rs 1,39,990. it will be available starting today, June 10, 2021. The 65 and 75-inch variants are expected to be available soon.

Battlefield 2042: Check out the trailer and everything else you need to know

EA just dropped the first trailer for Battlefield 2042 and boy does it raise a lot of eyebrows. As one of the biggest FPS franchises, the game had a lot riding on its shoulders, especially considering that its biggest rival, Call of Duty, has been on a near-continuous uptick. Meanwhile, the last full-fledged Battlefield release was Battlefield V in 2018.

Check out the reveal trailer for Battlefield 2042 below. Note the use of the infamous RendeZook manoeuvre made famous by player Anders Lodahl aka Stun_Gravy. The move sees players eject out of a moving jet, shoot down a tailing jet with a rocket launcher, and then climb back into their jet. It’s just as cool as it sounds.

Battlefield 2042: Gameplay

From what we can make out from the trailer and the official website, it looks like Battlefield 2042 will continue the tradition of large, open-scale warfare. Matches can have up to 128 players and the map will include all sorts of weapons and equipment. This includes current-gen military weapons as well as some futuristic tech. We also see liberal use of wingsuits as well as some large scale maps with the Frostbite 3 Engine doing an impressive job of showing the destruction. Players will have three game modes to choose from. This includes All-Out Warfare, Hazard Zone, and a yet unnamed mode. All-Out Warfare is the standard game mode, while details of the other two will be revealed at a later date. One can assume that the game may feature some form of a battle royale mode.

It should also be noted that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will only support 64 players, while the 128 player mode will be available on the current generation consoles and the PC.

An interesting thing to note is that the maps are tipped to feature dynamic environments that will change over time thanks to events and storms. The trailer showcased some of that in the form of a tornado and a rocket launch. How exactly this will switch things around is anyone’s guess right now.

As always, Battlefield 2042 will also include lots of vehicles for players to pilot. This includes armoured fighting vehicles, tanks, helicopters, and jet fighters. Players will also have the option of choosing a Specialist when starting a map. These Specialists are based on the game’s four Classes. Each of the Specialists offers one unique Speciality and a Trait. But the loadout itself will be customisable by players.

Battlefield 2042: Live services

As with pretty much all games released these days. Battlefield 2042 will come with a Live Service. The idea is to continue updating the game to keep players engaged. This would include expanding on in-game lore via Seasonal updates. Each in-game Season is set to last for about three months. Each new Season will come with a free and paid Battle Pass.

Battlefield 2042: Release date

The game is already up for pre-order and is scheduled to release on October 22 this year. EA will release the gameplay trailer on June 13. Hopefully, we will also get more information about Battlefield Mobile around that time.

Indian customs officials seize PS5s, iPhones, laptops and more worth Rs 25 Crore

Indian customs officials at the Delhi Airports seized an impressive haul of electronics goods and other miscellaneous items a few days ago. Among the items confiscated were 10 Sony PS5 consoles (review), 173 used laptops and 222 Apple iPhones. It also included lots of food supplements and cosmetics too, but we at digit don’t really care for that. What we do care for is the fact that the overall haul has an estimated overall market value of around Rs 2.5 Crore. IN its tweet, the official Delhi Customs Twitter handle noted that these goods were misdeclared as household goods coming in from Dubai.

SIIB, ACC Export Commissionerate intercepted & seized 222 Iphones of various models, 173 used laptops, 4391 bottles of food supplements, 10 Sony PS 5 & cosmetics with overall market value of around Rs 2.50Cr at NCT, Delhi. Goods were misdeclared as household goods from Dubai. pic.twitter.com/JrcChVY8VW

— Delhi Customs (@Delhicustoms) June 5, 2021

Of course, this isn’t the first time people tried smuggling iPhones into the country. However, this is one of the first times someone tried to smuggle PS5 consoles. The consoles are still quite in demand and tend to sell out the moment it becomes available. As such, there are still loads of PlayStation gamers looking to buy the PS5. With the console still in demand, it was only a matter of time before people tried to smuggle them over and sell them at a much higher cost.

Besides smugglers, gamers also have to deal with scalpers. These people usually train bots to purchase as many units of the console as possible when they come online. These units are then sold at a higher price, thereby netting the scalper a tidy profit.

Unfortunately, the PS5 isn’t the only victim of scalpers. Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S and the new graphics cards from Nvidia and AMD are facing a similar problem. It looks like the only way this can be solved when manufacturers can start meeting demand.

E3 2021: Schedule of all Events, Conferences and Expected games

E3 2021 is in an all-digital format after being cancelled last year amid pandemic concerns between 12th and 15th June. You can now sign up on E3's website to gain access to the E3 2021 portal and app to attend E3’s 2021 virtual event as a fan. E3 2021 will be streaming on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. We can expect big announcements from Microsoft-Bethesda, Nintendo, Square Enix, Ubisoft and other publishers.

E3 2021 Schedule

E3 2021 will see most major game studios and publishers bring out the best that they're working on. Here are some of the conferences that you should be looking forward to. The timings have been adjusted to reflect Indian Standard Time (IST).

2K Games - 12th June - TBA

2K is supposedly working on an XCOM Avengers game with Firaxis and a Borderlands spin-off by Gearbox. The game is reportedly dubbed "Tiny Tina's Wonderlands," which is intended to follow the main series' class-based shooting gameplay. The last game in the leak, known as Codename Volt, is a supernatural sci-fi game with a toss-up between Saints Row and Cthulhu, developed by Hangar13.

2K Games E3 2021 Schedule

Ubisoft Forward - 10:30 PM IST, 12th June

Ubisoft has set an E3 presentation on June 12th, and the publisher has disclosed some of the items it plans to show off. Among the titles on display will be the upcoming Rainbow Six release, known as Rainbow Six Extraction. Ubisoft revealed it at E3 2019 as a co-op shooter that puts you up against diseased people, expanding on Rainbow Six Siege's Outbreak mode. It was expected to come in early 2020, but that, of course, did not happen. Another peek at Far Cry 6 and updates on Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Rainbow Six Siege are also on the agenda for next week's Ubisoft Forward. But, unfortunately, there will be no news about Division and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake.

Ubisoft Foward E3 2021 Schedule

Microsoft-Bethesda - 10:30 PM IST, 13th June

The Xbox & Bethesda Game Showcase will last 90 minutes and feature software from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda. A highly anticipated title that could appear at the event is Starfield, which was announced back at E3, 2018.  Aside from Bethesda’s games presently under development, Microsoft may unveil additional information on Halo Infinite, one of the most anticipated Xbox Series X titles. In addition, we may also learn more about the new and upcoming Fable and Forza Motorsport titles.

Microsoft Bethesda E3 2021 Schedule Square Enix - 1:15 am IST, 14th June.

Square Enix has promised a deeper look at Life is Strange: True Colors, releasing on September 10th and an update on Marvel's Avengers. The E3 presentation will also include a new look at Babylon's Fall, first announced at E3 2018. It's one of the original IPs PlatinumGames have been working on, apart from NieR. From first impressions, it immediately felt like a souls-like game. It'll be interesting to see how things have changed since then.

Square Enix E3 2021 Schedule

Nintendo - 9:30 PM IST, 15th June

Nintendo is preparing to flesh up its game lineup for the remainder of the year. The Direct will last around 40 minutes and focus solely on software, most of which will be released in 2021. After the Direct, you'll be able to watch Nintendo Treehouse Live, featuring about three hours of deep dives into various titles. Aside from the fact that it will primarily focus on the Switch game selection for 2021, we have no idea what will be featured. We hope it’ll be about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 or Metroid Prime 4, or even Splatoon 3. But we can’t say anything for sure due to Nintendo’s secretive nature. However, due to the short 40 minute run of the Nintendo Direct, the rumoured Switch Pro’s announcement is highly unlikely.

This lets anyone join the FaceTime call even if they are not using an Apple device. FaceTime call links can now be opened on a browser on an Android or Windows device.

SharePlay is like a watch party on FaceTime where you can listen to a song with your friends together, watch a movie in sync and more. It is compatible with iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. The SharePlay feature is currently supported by Disney+, ESPN+, HBO Max, Hulu, MasterClass, Paramount+, Pluto TV, TikTok, Twitch and more services are being added.

There is a new feature called Focus which lets users filter notifications and apps based in an attempt to reduce distractions. The new Focus feature will automatically suggest apps and widgets based on your use case or you can create a Focus manually. It’s Apple’s own take on user profiles that lets users switch between work and personal profiles and more.

The iOS 15 also gets a revamped notifications that make them easier to identify by adding a picture to contacts and bigger icons for apps. There is a notification summary that collects non-time-critical notifications and delivers them at the time of your choosing. The new update uses AI to arrange notifications and arrange them based on the priority which is based on the users’ interaction with the said app.

Apple is also extending on-device intelligence to work with Live Text to identify text in a picture and Spotlight can now search photos by location, people, scenes, objects and more. It can also find text and handwriting in photos and the camera app can also recognize text in a frame and copy it quickly. The new update also brings Apple Music integration with Memories in the Photos app. With on-device intelligence, the app offers personalized song suggestions that can be used to edit a memory video.

Safari has been redesigned for iOS 15 and makes it easier to use it with one hand. There is a new tab bar that floats at the bottom of the screen and the new tab groups allow users to save important tabs and access them later from the iPhone or iPad or Mac. Some of the new features also include an option to customize Safari’s homepage and support for web extensions on iOS.

The Weather and Notes app has been redesigned for iOS 15. The Weather app now shows more visually detailed data and redesigned animation backgrounds along with full-screen maps. The information appears to have been leaked accidentally by the company, with pricing details of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G briefly available on the OnePlus website. The pricing details were first spotted by MySmartPrice. In its report, the publication claims to have found information about an HDFC Bank offer on the official website which reveals discount offers on select OnePlus phones and TVs. Interestingly, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G was also listed there with a discount of Rs 1,000 on a minimum transaction price of Rs 22,999 -- thereby giving us a hint that the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will be priced in India at Rs 22,999. This also falls in line with expectations that the smartphone will be cheaper than the original Nord launched at Rs 24,999.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G: Leaked design details

Apart from this, PriceBaba has also leaked a new render of the device showing off the OnePlus Nord CE 5G’s design from the back. The render also shows off a vertical rear camera module which appears to be comprised of three camera sensors and an LED flash. The back of the phone also houses the OnePlus logo which is placed in the centre. The renders also show the phone's rear panel in blue colour - but we expect additional colours to also be announced at the time of launch. Overall, the design appears to be similar to the original Nord.

As per the previous leak, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with support for a 90Hz refresh rate. This display will also house a punch-hole and will also be equipped with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The Nord CE 5G is tipped to get a full plastic build, with the frame and the back panel, all tipped to be made up of plastic. Under the hood, it will hide an octa-core Snapdragon 750G SoC. This chip is not the newest in the market, but it still is quite powerful. Other than this, the OnePlus Nord CE is also set to get a triple camera setup with a 64MP lens. The report adds that one of these sensors will be an OmniVision sensor. This lens will be sat next to an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the front camera, the phone is set to offer a 16MP lens.

Epic Announces Frosty new free game for this week

After putting up the blockbuster game Among Us for free on it’s store last week, Epic Games has revealed their next free game on sale this week. The game which is free this week is… *drumroll* Frostpunk!

Epic Games Store - Free Game - Frostpunk - June 4-10th, 2021

Epic Games Stores free game Frost Punk

As the meaning of the word free suggests, the game can be redeemed by players free of charge only on the Epic Games Store from the 3rd of June to the 10th of June. If you are confused as to what the entirety of free games work on Epic Games, it basically means that you can claim the game for free only for the duration of the free period. However, if you are busy playing another title at the moment, fret not! For you can play the game whenever you want after claiming it. The game becomes a permanent part of your library once you’ve claimed it and is available for unlimited downloads and play.

Frostpunk was released in 2018. It is a strategy/city builder game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Players are tasked with building the last city on Earth, and keeping its citizens alive and thriving.

The game offers various modes to cater to your own playstyle. Endurance mode offers a steep challenge while serenity is a more laid back experience for people just looking for fun. There are also multiple maps with different obstacles and various weather patterns for players to deal with. It really sounds like the game will have a lot of replay value to keep people coming its way.

Unfortunately however, Epic is yet to reveal the next free game. Sometimes the platform reveals what they’re about to release next for free and that way, the people who might be planning on buying it could wait and get it for free instead of spending money on the game. Guess we’ll just have to wait for now and see what comes next!

Apples next iPad Pro model may have wireless charging support and a glass back

None of the iPads in Apple's current tablet lineup supports wireless charging, but it looks like that's about to change soon. According to a new Bloomberg report, the Cupertino tech giant is working on a new version of the iPad Pro that supports wireless charging. And to accommodate the tech behind that, Apple is also said to switch to a glass back for the new models.

Both of these changes are quite significant to the tablet since its first release back in 2010. This would be the first iPad model to support wireless charging and they all have had an aluminum back so far, with the glass back entering the scene for the first time.

iPad Pro 2021

Apple is also said to be working on a magnetic charging system for the new iPad Pro similar to the MagSafe connector with the iPhone 12. In addition to that, we are also hearing that the company will add reverse wireless charging to these new iPad Pro models, allowing them to act as a wireless charger themselves.

Along with this new iPad Pro model, Apple is also said to be working on a new iPad Mini model that will reportedly hit the shelves later this year. This iPad Mini model is expected to have narrow bezels due to which it will mostly ditch the home button too. Going by that, it will also be the first iPad Mini design change in many years. It could be the same iPad Mini model that we've been hearing a lot about lately.

But that's all the info we have about these new iPads, at least for now. If we were to guess, the new iPad Pro will also be powered by the rumored M1X chip. Considering the fact that Apple only recently released the new M1 iPad Pro with its Mini LED display, this new iPad Pro with wireless charging may not arrive until next year. The new iPad Mini, however, is expected to come out by the end of this year, so let's hope for the best.
