PUBG Mobile Lite v0140 update adds bombing zones, emotes and more
PUBG Mobile Lite, the smaller and lighter version of PUBG Mobile has been updated to version 0.14.0. As one might expect, the update adds a bunch of new features and fixes. Here’s the changelog of the new update:
New WP theme and rewards New outfits added Updated system settings Added customization guide Added emotes Improved UI & update pack size Improved graphics Battle parameters improved Increased accuracy of RPG-7 Added bombing zonesThe addition of emotes as well as new outfits should make the game more similar to the standard version of PUBG Mobile. It should also be noted that the game will now feature bombing zones, which should add a new layer of strategy to the game. It should be noted that PUBG Mobile Lite features a much smaller map. As such, it should make the red zone much more dangerous.
We also noted a new more additions that weren’t a part of the changelog. The main menu now features a pickup truck in the background. Currently, the game only offers a smaller version of Erangel for players to play on. Considering the fact that the pickup truck is unique to the Miramar map, it is possible that the developers may add a smaller version of the desert map to PUBG Mobile Lite soon.
Further, there is now an option for ‘Beta’ on the map selection screen. But that is locked for now. It is not yet confirmed how the beta will function, but judging be the current PUBG Mobile Beta. It will give players and developers to try out new features before they are made available to everyone else.
Finally, loot drop locations are now shown on the map from the moment it releases from the plane. This means that everyone will now know exactly will the loot crate will drop, even before it lands. This makes rushing the crate a risky choice considering the fact that they may get ambushed at any time.

OnePlus TV is an Android TV with built-in Chromecast
OnePlus has revealed just a little bit more about its plans for their upcoming TV. According to a statement released by the company, OnePlus TV is an Android TV with built-in Chromecast. The company also said that the TV will come with Google’s Play Store baked in, with the goal of elevating the smart TV experience in India. The company had already revealed the official logo, confirming that a TV was on the way.
OnePlus has apparently been working closely with Google in its aim to be the company that provides a connected home solution for all. Towards this end, the OnePlus TV will support Google Assistant, built-in Chromecast and thus, will allow users to access their favourite media, get answers from Google on-screen like weather updates, manage tasks like seeing your calendar, and control smart home devices; all with their voice.
Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India said, “These past five years have been about constant exploration, diving deep into how best we can use technology and innovation and Google has been strategic to us in India since the beginning, furthering our efforts towards our goal. Now, as we venture into newer segments with OnePlus TV, we are very excited to bring together our collective knowledge by extending that work. We believe that with our combined expertise, we can move ever closer to improve the human experience through simplicity, efficiency, and intelligent functionality.”
OnePlus hopes to provide a connected solution for the homes of the future and are working closely with Google to close the gaps that currently exist. It is interesting to see OnePlus pivot from being a “smartphone company” to a “smart devices” company. The OnePlus TV is the next highly anticipated device from the company that started with the goal of “never settle.”
There aren’ many official details available about the upcoming OnePlus TV, but we expect it to be a 55-inch QLED panel with 4K resolution. The TV is also said to be India Exclusive and will go on sale on Amazon.in once it is announced.

Apple iPhone trio details leak, may support reverse wireless charging and Apple Pencil
With just ten more days to go before their official announcement, it would appear that the specifications for the iPhone trio have leaked in full. The three phones will be called the Apple iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. This is in line with previous rumours that suggested that Apple would go with the Pro moniker for this year’s iPhones.
The first phone in this year’s lineup is rumoured to be the iPhone 11, the direct successor to the iPhone XR. According to the leaked specs, it would come with a 6.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1792x828. The phone is expected to sport a glass design and come packing a 3110mAh battery. This time around, rumours suggest that the iPhone 11 would come with dual 12-megapixel cameras on the rear.
The next is the Pro duo, the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. These phones are expected to have a 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED display respectively. Camera duties will be spread across three shooters, each with a 12megapixel sensor, although we’re not sure what the lens configuration will be like. An educated guess points towards the possibility of Apple finally adding an ultra-wide-angle lens to its existing camera stack. The two Pro models are expected to bring support for the Apple Pencil, reverse wireless charging and a frost glass design.
Sadly, the iPhone 11 won’t get reverse charging or the Apple Pencil support, but all three phones, according to the leak, will support WiFi 6. While the iPhone 11 will sport 4GB RAM and the Pro models 6GB of RAM, all three phones will be powered by Apple’s new A13 SoC.
Apple’s keynote is scheduled for September 10, according to the invite that the company had sent out a few days earlier. We have come to expect leaks to be more or less reliable so close to the launch. However, it is best to take everything with a pinch of salt and wait to hear everything from the horse’s mouth directly on September 10.

Samsung Galaxy A90 leak suggests 5G support
Samsung has been rather ambitious abut its smartphone roadmap this year, having launched as many phones this year as months. After announcing the Samsung Galaxy A80, and bringing it to market a little later than expected, rumuors around the next phone in the A-series have started to pick up. It would appear that the next product in the A-series will be the Samsung Galaxy A90 and will support 5G.
Twitter user @mmddj_ has tweeted official-looking slides that allegedly promote the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G. The image shows a white colour smartphone with a triple camera setup on the back aligned vertically to the left. This means that the rotating concept for the camera is not making a comeback no the A90 5G.
The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G is rumoured to be a 6.7-inch smartphone with an AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. The primary camera on the back is expected to be a 48MP shooter, accompanied by an 8MPO ultra-wide camera and a third 5MP sensor which is likely to be for collecting depth information.
What is really interesting is that based on a Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy A90 would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, making it the most powerful smartphone in the A-series. If this is indeed true, this would be the first Samsung smartphone to be sold globally with a flagship QUALCOMM SoC, given that Samsung’s flagship phones ship with Exynos in most countries around the world. Samsung could be going with the Snapdragon 855 chipset for the 5G radio compatibility.
As of now, there is no official word on when the Samsung Galaxy A90 would be making its way to the market.

Samsung Galaxy Fold reportedly re-launching on September 6, listed on companys India website as well
The Samsung Galaxy Fold is the South Korean smartphone company’s first foldable smartphone and it could finally be launched globally on September 6, on the first day of IFA 2019. The launch date comes via Korean media but should be taken with a grain of salt since Samsung is yet to confirm it. Samsung was previously speculated to launch the handset by the end of September but if the new report is to be believed, the company might have dramatically advanced the scheduled launch. This report also comes at a time when the Samsung India online store has hosted a product webpage for the Samsung Galaxy Fold, which hints at the device’s imminent launch.
The Korean media report also states that the Samsung Galaxy Fold will hit shelves in the US and China in September. About 20,000 to 30,000 units of the handset are expected to be shipped in South Korea. As for the smartphone being listed on the company’s India website, the device’s features and specifications are listed but as expected, there’s no hint at its India pricing. The listing was first spotted by India Today.
Unfolding the Samsung Galaxy Fold sagaSamsung unveiled the Galaxy Fold smartphone for the world on February 21 this year and it was set to hit shelves on May 3 in Europe, followed by other regions. However, á¹he display of Samsung’s foldable smartphone stopped working for some early reviewers, after which the company started investigating the issue and postponed the device’s rollout. In May, a Samsung executive announced that the Galaxy Fold launch won’t be ‘too late’ but refrained from sharing any specifics.
Back in June, the company announced that the issues with the device are now resolved. A report that came out around the same time stated that the company has redesigned the foldable smartphone’s hinge and improved its display. The company’s CEO DJ Koh also said that he is embarrassed over the problems that arose with the Samsung Galaxy Fold and admitted that it was pushed to the market too soon. Since late July, reports of the Samsung Galaxy Fold finally being launched have been making the rounds on the internet.
Samsung Galaxy Fold specificationsThe Samsung Galaxy Fold is equipped with a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex display, which enables the display panel to fold along the hinges. When folded, the Galaxy Fold sports a 4.6-inch HD+ display that has thick bezels. When unfolded, the handset opens up to a QXGA+ resolution panel with 4.2:3 aspect ratio. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC in the US and some other regions while it will run on a Samsung Exynos chip, which is most likely the Exynos 9820. The smartphone packs 12GB RAM with 512GB of internal storage and gets a 12MP + 12MP + 16MP triple cameras on the back and a 10MP + 8MP camera setup on the front. It runs on Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 4380mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy Fold PriceThe Galaxy Fold was announced for EUR 2000 in Europe which converts to Rs 1,55,788 approximately in India. It is priced at $1,980 in the US, which is around Rs 1.37 lakh. The handset is relatively expensive and users who pre-ordered the device previously were supposed to get a new free pair of Galaxy Buds, along with a slim kevlar case and a one-year damage cover via Samsung Care+.

However, the date isn’t confirmed yet, and could change. Moreover, new information about the OnePlus 7T has surfaced online, which includes some key specifications about the phone.
The leaked information has revealed that the OnePlus 7T could feature a 6.55-inch 2K Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, which was seen on OnePlus 7 Pro. Tipster Ishan Agarwal says the smartphone will be sold in two storage variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. It could be made available in two colour options, namely, Frosted Silver and Haze Blue.
Rumour has it that OnePlus 7T could be powered by the overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset. To recall, OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro both have a Snapdragon 855 chipset under the hood. Coming back to the OnePlus 7T, it is also tipped to get a battery bump and could pack a 3,800mAh battery.
Previously, new renders of the OnePlus 7T also made an appearance online, which showed the OnePlus 7T sporting the same display as the OnePlus 7 with the small notch at the top of the display. One the other hand, at the back of the device, a circular camera housing was spotted that had three cameras stacked horizontally.
Now, we have more information about the cameras. The OnePlus 7T is tipped to sport a triple rear camera setup of a 48MP primary shooter, a 16MP secondary camera, and a third, 12MP shooter. There might be a 16MP front camera for the selfie needs of users. Additionally, it is speculated that OnePlus could add support for 960fps 10-second SlowMo videos, wide-angle-video, and Nightscape mode in the OnePlus 7T.
Agarwal also mentioned in a tweet that free cloud storage will be provided with the purchase of OnePlus 7T series smartphones.
OnePlus is rumoured to launch the OnePlus 7T series on September 26 in Delhi.
These are just rumours, and the authenticity of this information couldn’t be verified yet, so take it with a pinch of salt.

RedmiBook 14 with Intel 10th Gen Core CPUs announced in China
Xiaomi had quite a number of announcements to make yesterday at an event in China. Along with the Redmi Note 8, Note 8 Pro, and Redmi TV, the Chinese electronics manufacturer also announced an updated version of the RedmiBook 14 laptop. The new RedmiBook 14 is, according to the company’s post on Weibo, powered by Intel 10th Gen Core CPUs and discrete graphics from Nvidia. The new updated range of RedmiBook 14 laptops starts at 3,999 CNY (Rs 40,135 approx).
According to a recent report by MSPoweruser, which believes the new model is called RedmiBook 14 Pro, the new laptop is available in three variants. The first one has an Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, and a 256GB solid-state drive and costs 3,999 CNY (Rs 40,135 approx). The second offers the same CPU and RAM but with a 512GB solid-state drive at 4,499 CNY (Rs 45,150 approx). The last variant comes with an Intel Core i7 CPU but the same 8GB of RAM and 512GB solid-state drive at 4,999 CNY (Rs 50,152 approx).
In addition, the updated RedmiBook 14 features a 14-inch display with 250 nits of brightness and an 81.2-percent screen-to-body ratio. Complementing it is an Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics card with 2GB of video RAM, which should aid photo editing and light gaming. Ports on the laptop include two USB-A 3.0 ports, one USB-A 2.0 port, a full-size HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio jack for headsets. According to the company, its 46Wh battery can deliver up to 10 hours of continuous use on a single charge. The RedmiBook 14 weighs 1.5 kilogrammes.
The RedmiBook 14 was originally launched in May this year with Intel’s 8th Gen Core CPUs. The update announced yesterday focusses on Intel’s new 10th Gen chips. Xiaomi has yet to announce the RedmiBook 14 in India. At the moment, we have no information on when (or whether) the model will make it to India. In China, however, the updated RedmiBook 14 will be available from September 6 in grey, pink, and silver colours..

Redmi TV 70 4K HDR TV launched, features a quad core processor and 16GB storage
The first Redmi branded TV was announced on Thursday in China and will be available for CNY 3,799 which translates to about Rs 38,000, directly converted. The TV will be available in one size only - 70-inches and there is no information whether the TV will be available outside China. The TV is simply called the Redmi TV 70. Coming to the features and specifications of the TV, it has a 70-inch screen size that supports 4K and HDR. The TV is powered by a quad-core 64-bit Amlogic SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The Redmi TV 70 runs on the company's PatchWall UI which is based on Android. All of Xiaomi’s TVs available in India run on PatchWall and the TVs currently available in India give consumers the option to run either on Stock Android TV or the PatchWall UI.
Coming back to the Redmi TV 70, the TV has dual-band Wi-Fi, and supports Bluetooth 4.2. For connectivity, the device has three HDMI ports, two USB ports, along with an AV input. The TV will also come with a Bluetooth enabled voice-controlled remote control. The Redmi TV 70 will go on sale in China from September 10. Pre-orders for the TV began on August 29. It isn't clear whether the TV will be available internationally, but looking at the number of TV brands launching products in India, it is likely that the TV will hit Indian shores.
Speaking of Indian shores, we have a number of brands selling budget TVs such as Xiaomi, Metz, TCL, iFFALCON, Metz, Shinco and more. All these brands are sporting LED-backlit TVs with TCL venturing in the QLED space as well. When it comes to OLED TVs, only Sony and LG are selling OLED TVs in India. These, of course, sell for a premium. It looks like that is about to change. METZ is all set to launch its first OLED TV in India and we hope it breaks the Rs 1,00,000 entry barrier for an OLED TV.

Fitbit announces Versa 2 smartwatch, Aria Air weighing scale, new subscription plan
American fitness technology company Fitbit made a bunch of new announcements last evening, chief amongst which was a new smartwatch. Called the Fitbit Versa 2, the company's new wearable features voice commands through Amazon Alexa and a five-day battery. Fitbit also announced Aria Air, an affordable Bluetooth-enabled weighing scale and Fitbit Premium, a paid subscription service in the Fitbit app. The Fitbit Versa 2 smartwatch is priced at Rs 20,999 and the Fitbit Aria Air weighing scale costs Rs 4,999.
Fitbit Versa 2Available globally starting September 15, the Fitbit Versa 2 is, as you might expect, a second iteration of the original Fitbit Versa that was launched last year. This year’s smartwatch is the first from Fitbit to have inbuilt support for Amazon Alexa and Fitbit Pay. It also features Sleep Score, a scoring system for your sleep quality; Smart Wake, a smart REM cycle-dependent alarm clock; Sleep Mode, a mode that prevents interruptions; and Estimated Oxygen Variation Graph, a measuring system for the variation of oxygen levels in the user’s bloodstream.
In addition, the Fitbit Versa 2’s list of features includes a faster processor, AMOLED display, always-on display mode (with 2-day battery life), automatic activity tracking, always-on heart rate monitoring, over 15 goal-based activity modes, GPS connectivity, and water resistance up to 50 metres. “Fitbit is also bringing the Spotify app experience to Versa 2, allowing Spotify Premium subscribers to control music and podcasts so you can find all-day motivation directly from your wrist,” writes Fitbit in its press release. The new smartwatch is complemented by a long list of accessories, including classic bands, sport-inspired bands, and leather/suede bands. The Fitbit Versa 2 costs Rs 20,999 in India. You can read our review of the original Fitbit Versa here.
Fitbit Aria AirThe Fitbit Aria Air is a smart weighing scale that sync data with the Fitbit app on the user’s smartphone to show activity, heart rate, sleep, nutrition, etc. Apart from recording and tracking the user’s weight, it can also calculate their BMI (body mass index). The Fitbit Aria Air is expected to go on sale for Rs 4,999 sometime towards the end of September in two colours: Black Shadow and White Shadow.
“Whether someone is looking to manage their weight, improve their fitness level, or manage a chronic condition, we’ve had a significant impact on the lives of millions of people. In fact, 73 percent of Fitbit users who set a weight loss goal reduced their weight after six months of tracking it, demonstrating the power of the Fitbit platform to help users reach their goals,” commented Fitbit Co-founder & CEO James Park in the press release.
Fitbit PremiumFitbit Premium is a paid subscription service for users of the Fitbit app, which lets users get Fitbit’s “most personalized experience yet”. The service promises “insights from 10+ years of Fitbit data as well as academic and medical expertise to help you move more, sleep better and eat well with customized programs, advanced sleep features, personal insights, thousands of workouts, new challenges, health reports and more.” Available from next month in 17 countries across the world in English, Fitbit Premium costs $9.99 (Rs 720 approx) per month or $79.99 (Rs 5,760 approx) per year. Fitbit hasn’t mentioned in its press release whether India is one of the countries in the list.

While the Honor 20 Pro is still yet to hit the market, Honor is already preparing for the launch of the Honor 20S. The phone is now confirmed to launch in China on September 4, according to the teaser poster released by the company. The teaser shows off the phone’s design, which includes a gradient coloured, glossy back panel. Interestingly, it has a blue and white colour palette.

Honor has already started accepting pre-orders and the phone will go on sale on September 4.
Honor has shared a link to Vmall where users can pre-register to buy the smartphone. The phone will go on sale the same day it launches at 9PM, China time. The Honor 20S was also listed on TENAA recently, and there it’s listed with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Furthermore, the TENAA listing stated the Honor 20S will have a model number of AL-AL50/TL50 and will come with a 6.26-inch full HD+ display along with a 2.6Ghz octa-core SoC and up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera. Lastly, the listing mentions the Honor 20S will come with a 3,650mAh battery with 20W fast charging support.
While it’s not exactly clear whether the model number listed on TENAA is indeed the Honor 20S, but based on the naming scheme, it does seem to belong to the Honor 20 series.

Vivo Z1X with in-display fingerprint sensor, triple cameras will launch in India on September 6
Vivo has finally confirmed that it is gearing up to launch the Vivo Z1X smartphone in India. We previously came to across some exclusive information regarding the upcoming handset and now, it’s confirmed that the Vivo Z1X will launch in the country on September 6 at 12PM. The company has also announced that the handset will be made available via Flipkart in the country. It seems like the device would be targeted at mobile gamers as the company says, “The Z1X is designed for consumers that are performance-oriented and love playing heavy density games on their handset.”
While Vivo has refrained from sharing any additional information about the Vivo Z1X, more info about it has been revealed in a teaser video. The company has posted a video on Twitter, which confirms the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor and a triple-rear camera setup on the device. The video also showcases the upcoming smartphone in its entirety, which can be seen with a dewdrop notch display design and a gradient rear panel. While there’s no official info about its specifications, we already have an idea of what it could offer from some previous leaks and reports.
Unlock fun, unlock brilliance. With Flash In-Display Fingerprint on the all-new and #FullyLoaded #vivoZ1x, unlock the world of extreme performance. Launching on 6th September at 12 PM. @Flipkart. Know more: https://t.co/MJgLiC5kNo pic.twitter.com/djHE5R7IqS
— Vivo India (@Vivo_India) August 28, 2019The Vivo Z1X is touted to be a mid-range smartphone with a 48MP primary sensor for its triple-rear camera setup. As mentioned, we previously reported that the smartphone would be priced under Rs 20,000 in the country. There’s also a possibility that the Vivo Z5 that the company recently launched in China could be rebranded as the Vivo Z1X. Vivo Z5 features a 6.38-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2340p resolution and is powered by the Snapdragon 712 SoC. Backed by a 4500mAh battery, which supports 22.5W Flash Charge fast charging technology, the handset runs on Funtouch OS 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie.
The Vivo Z5 sports up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The handset gets a triple rear camera setup that features a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture lens, an 8MP secondary sensor with a wide-angle f/2.2 lens, and a third 2MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The company might rebrand the handset to launch it in India, but this is pure speculation right now. In addition, the rumoured smartphone is said to not be a successor to the Vivo Z1 Pro that the company launched in India last month.

Samsung Galaxy A10s goes on sale today starting at Rs 9,499
The Galaxy A10s smartphone, which was announced quietly by Samsung yesterday, goes on sale in India today at a starting price of Rs 9,499. The Galaxy A10s is a follow-up model to the Galaxy A10, which was launched in February this year. Available in two variants and three colour options, the Samsung Galaxy is available in all retail stores, e-Shop, Samsung Opera House, and online retailers such as Flipkart and Amazon.in.
While the 2GB RAM variant of the Samsung Galaxy A10s costs Rs 9,499, the 3GB RAM variant costs Rs 10,499. As expected, the Galaxy A10s contains several changes or improvements over the original Galaxy A10. To begin with, it comes with a different chipset. According to Samsung’s press release, the new budget smartphone comes with an unnamed Octa-core (Quad 2.0GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) processor. We believe this is the MediaTek Helio P22. In comparison, the older Galaxy A10 was powered by an Exynos 7884 chipset and up to 3GB of RAM.
Storage on both variants is a standard 32GB but is expandable up to 512GB using a microSD card. While the Galaxy A10 only had a single rear camera, the Galaxy A10s gets a dual camera setup. The primary sensor is a 13MP unit with an f/1.8 aperture and the secondary sensor is a 2MP depth sensing unit with an f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera also sees a significant upgrade. In the place of the 5MP shooter is an 8MP camera with the same f/2.0 aperture. The battery gets a bump in capacity too, from 3400mAh to 4000mAh. The Galaxy A10s weighs the same 168g.
The last improvement is the addition of a circular fingerprint scanner to the back panel of the Galaxy A10s, which the original Galaxy A10 sorely missed. The screen on the Galaxy A10s, however, remains the same 6.2-inch IPS LCD unit. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy A10s comes with Android 9 Pie running right out of the box. Available in green, blue, and black colour options, the Samsung Galaxy A10s is currently on sale across various online and offline stores in India.

It is expected to support 2x optical zoom, ultra-steady video mode for up to 60fps frame rate, EIS for stabilisation, “Ultra Night Mode” for low-light photography. However, the phone might miss on shark-fin rising module, and have a centrally aligned pop-up camera module instead.
Oppo Reno2F expected specificationsOppo is expected to announce a third Oppo Reno2 smartphone, which could be called Oppo Reno2F. It is expected to feature a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio under Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It could be powered by the MediaTek Helio P70 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM. It is tipped to have 128GB of internal storage.
On the optics front, the Oppo Reno2F could sport a quad rear camera setup as well, with a 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor, accompanied by a wide-angle 8MP sensor and a couple of 2MP sensors. It could also have features like 10x digital zoom, and Ultra Night Mode 2.0 for low-light photography. However, Oppo Reno2F might miss out on EIS for video stabilisation.
Oppo has also posted on Weibo to confirm that new wireless noise-cancelling headphones will also be launched alongside the Oppo Reno2 smartphones.

Redmi Note 8, Note 8 Pro leaked prices indicate lineup to become more expensive
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is confirmed to debut on August 29 at an event in China. It will be one of the first 64MP camera smartphone and as such, there are a lot of expectations behind the device. Now, in the days preceding the launch, nearly every feature of the phone has been officially or unofficially revealed, save for the price. And now, that too is out in the open thanks to a tipster based out of China. He revealed the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro prices in Chinese Yuan, and by the looks of it, Redmi’s Note series could become a little more expensive.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro’s price for the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will reportedly be set at RMB 1799 (roughly Rs 18,000). The top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will be priced a little higher at RMB 2,099 (roughly Rs 21,000). Similarly, the Redmi Note 8 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage could be priced at RMB 1199 (roughly Rs 12,000). Another variant of the Redmi Note 8 is also expected but pricing for that has not been leaked, so far. The information comes from an unverified source on Weibo and was spotted by 91Mobiles.
Alongside the price, the retail box of the Redmi Note 8 Pro was also officially revealed by Redmi CEO Lu Weibing to tease the launch of the phone. The box is in line with the recent rebranding Redmi undertook with a predominantly pinkish coloured exterior.
As for the specifications, it’s now revealed the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be powered by the newly unveiled MediaTek Helio G90T. It’s a gaming chipset that MediaTek had earlier confirmed would debut on a Redmi device. Previous leaks have also indicated the phone could come with liquid cooling for sustained high performance along with a 4,500mAh battery.
The phone’s design, based on live hands-on images leaked online, will be more akin to the Redmi K20 series. On the back will be a triple camera setup with one of them being the 64MP camera sensor from Samsung. Unfortunately, the Redmi Note 8 Pro will not feature an in-display fingerprint sensor as evident from the rear-mounted capacitive sensor on the body.

Android 10 could release on September 3, Pixels to get first dibs
Last week Google rebranded Android, and for the first time since its original release ten years ago Android will now be shipping without a dessert name. The latest Android version will be called Android 10. The move signified that the launch of the stable version is just around the corner. Now, Phonearena reports that it will be released on September 3, 2019, which is just one week from now.
Android 10 could debut on September 3, and it could be released for the Pixel phones first, as expected. Thanks to Google support, we are now aware of the official release date of Android 10. The date was confirmed by separate chats with Google customer support reps. In both cases, the Google customer support responded to the question of when Android 10 would be made available with the exact same date: on September 3. In one of the cases, the messages were exchanged with a Pixel 3a user. Below is a screenshot of the conversation:
Android 10 is first expected to roll out to the Pixel smartphones - all of them, from the original to the Pixel 3a series. While the Android 10 update is out of the standard two-year support window for the original Pixel, it will still be getting the update.
Some of the major changes that Android 10 will be bringing are native support for foldable phones, Smart Reply, 5G, Live Captions, Suggested Actions, as well as improved security and privacy features. Other notable features include improvements in digital well-being and parental controls functionalities, and seamless background updates. Additionally, a system-wide dark mode is also incoming.
While Android manufacturers take some time to prepare the major Android software updates for their devices, Nokia has already released a roadmap for smartphones that will be receiving the Android 10 update. You can check if your Nokia device will be getting Android 10 update here.

Redmi Note 8 confirmed to feature 48MP camera, Snapdragon 665, and more
Redmi Note 8 series is all set to be introduced in the coming week, and the company is building hype by teasing the features of its upcoming smartphones. After confirming details about the Redmi Note 8 Pro, the company has now confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 will also pack quad rear cameras. The smartphone manufacturer has also officially confirmed the rear design of the Redmi Note 8, and also revealed that the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset.
Let’s talk about the optics first. This time around, Redmi seems to have implemented different camera module designs on the two devices. While the Redmi Note 8 Pro is expected to have a camera module at the center, the regular Redmi Note 8 will feature the rear camera module on the left side of the phone. Further, the attached Weibo post has mentioned that the Redmi Note 8 will sport a 48MP main sensor, a wide-angle lens camera, a macro lens camera, and a fourth sensor for depth-of-field. However the sensor of 48MP main sensor is not confirmed yet.
The company posted a couple of low-light shots captured on the Redmi Note 8, which is said to use four-in-one pixel binning to make an 12MP image with 1.6μm pixel for night mode shots, similar to the Redmi Note 7 series.
The smartphone manufacturer has also revealed that the Redmi Note 8 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, which was recently seen on the Realme 5 and the Mi A3. It is an upgrade over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset that we saw on the Redmi Note 7. Hence, we expect the Redmi Note 8 to bring along upgrades like lower battery consumption, Vulkan 1.1 API support, and a third-gen AI engine with the Hexagon 686 DSP.

Motorola Moto E6 Plus images appear online
Images of the Moto E6 Plus have surfaced online. The smartphone is a successor to the recently launched Moto E6. According to the leaked images, the Moto E6 Plus will run on Android Pei out of the box. The device is expected to sport a small dot notch and the images show the smartphone’s display surrounded by bezels and a thick chin. When it comes to button placement, the smartphone has the volume rocker and the power button on the right side. The back of the smartphone has a glossy finish and is home to a dual-camera setup. The vertically stacked dual camera looks quite similar in form to what we have seen on the OnePlus 7. There is the Moto logo on the back of the smartphone as well. There is no information available about the specifications of the smartphone but information circulating the internet suggests that the smartphone will have an Helio P22 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM.
Coming to the recently announced Moto E6, the smartphone has a 5.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio sporting a 1440 x 720 pixel resolution. The selfie camera is located on the left side of the earpiece on the forehead. On the back is a single camera with an LED flash and a centrally-aligned batwing logo. The back panel has a P2i nano-coating which is done to repel water and sweat.
Under the hood, the phone has an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz, which is paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage (expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card). A 3000 mAh removable battery with 5W charging powers the entire package. The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

Renders of the OnePlus 7T leaked online
If you were looking to pick up a OnePlus 7 smartphone, we’d say hold your horses. Information circulating the internet suggests that the successor to the OnePlus 7, the OnePlus 7T will launch in India on September 26. The date isn't confirmed and could be changed. New information about the upcoming OnePlus 7T has surfaced online. The new render of the smartphone comes from leakster OnLeaks who has released renders of the device. The renders show the OnePlus 7T sporting the same display as the OnePlus 7 with the small notch at the top of the display.
However, the big change is at the back of the device. Where the OnePlus 7 has a dual-camera setup, similar to the OnePlus 6T, the OnePlus 7T looks to sport a circular camera housing at the back that houses three cameras. The three cameras are horizontally stacked. The flash rests below the middle camera. Coming to the bottom, the OnePlus 7 has two grills, one of which houses the speaker and the other houses the microphone. The renders of the OnePlus 7T showcases the bottom of the smartphone with a single grill. The rest of the dimensions remain the same as the OnePlus 7.
Coming to the specifications of the OnePlus 7T, the smartphone is expected to sport the Snapdragon 855+ SoC coupled with 8GB RAM. The selfie camera is expected to be the same as the OnePlus 7 at 16MP. The specs of the triple rear camera are still a mystery. It is speculated that the OnePlus 7T and the 7T Pro will be unveiled alongside the OnePlus TV. You can read everything we know about the OnePlus TV here.

OnePlus TV leaked specs reveal MediaTek SoC, 3GB RAM and more
The OnePlus TV is now in the center of media’s attention with the company confirming information about the upcoming smart TV every few days. CEO Pete Lau detailed the reason for OnePlus to make a TV in an elaborate forum-post, while earlier this week, it was revealed at least one of the variants will come with a 55” QLED display. Now, a screenshot captured from Google Play Developer Console reveals the specs of the OnePlus TV.
The OnePlus TV is codenamed “Dosa” and will be powered by a MediaTek SoC and a Mali-G51 GPU to boot. Along with that, there will be 3GB of RAM and will run on Android 9 Pie. The resolution, however, is just 1080p, but that could likely be bumped up to 4K.
The OnePlus TV will likely come with a customised UI with deep integration of a smartphone for better connectivity. Furthermore, the TV likely won’t be priced in the same range as Xiaomi’s Mi TV and could be a more premium offering. Yet, it could just be cheaper than the Sony and Samsung flaghsips, owing to the partnership with Amazon.
The OnePlus TV will launch first in India and then expand to other markets.
More info on the @OnePlus TV "OnePlus_Dosa_IN" I talked about yesterday. It's using a Mediatek MT5670 (no info found on it, so far) with a good Mali-G51 MP3 GPU. And of course, #AndroidTV 9. ATV only allows 1080p for the TV menus, don't worry TV is 4K for compatible content. pic.twitter.com/RuS8TgYBJF
