Intel Iris Xe Max Discrete GPU for Slim Laptops Announced, Promises AI and Encoding Performance Boost
from Gadgets 360 https://ift.tt/2HJ8xrf
Intel launches Iris Xe MAX discrete graphics for low-power notebooks
Intel launched their Iris Xe MAX discrete graphics chip for thin and light notebooks and they already have a few SKUs on the market with Acer (uses Intel 11th Gen Tiger Lake Core processors along with Intel Xe Iris MAX Graphics) and more partners are expected to launch their Intel Iris Xe MAX powered notebooks in the weeks to come. Unveiled at the Intel Architecture Day 2020, the Xe-LP microarchitecture was designed for low-power applications with focus on media decode, casual gaming and accelerating AI features in compatible applications. Intel’s Iris MAX Xe will compete with the likes of NVIDIA’s MX-class Discrete GPUs (ex. MX350) and AMD’s RX Vega 8 Integrated GPUs. Key features of the Intel Iris Xe MAX discrete graphics chip include PCIe Gen 4.0 support and Intel Deep Link. The latter allows dynamic power sharing between the Intel CPU and Intel GPU, and can leverage the media encoders in both silicon to work in tandem to accelerate certain workloads.
“We set out to redefine the role of discrete graphics in thin-and-light laptops and address a growing segment of creators who want more portability. Iris Xe MAX graphics and Intel® Deep Link technology serve as examples of the kind of platform-level innovation that Intel plans to bring to market in the future as we execute our scalable Xe Roadmap.” said Roger Chandler, Vice President and General Manager of Client XPU Product and Solutions in the Intel Architecture, Graphics and Software Group.
Intel Iris Xe MAX GraphicsThe Intel Xe graphics architecture is a scalable architecture which is designed to work in a wide variety of applications ranging from low-power notebook graphics to discrete gaming graphics cards to machine learning GPUs to enterprise HPC applications. What we’re seeing today is the Xe-LP microarchitecture which is designed for low-power notebooks. The Iris Xe MAX GPU has 96 EUs which can go up to 1.65 GHz and will be hooked up to 4GB of LPDDR4X memory with a peak memory bandwidth of 68 GB/s. It’s using Intel’s 10nm Superfin process.
Since Iris MAX Xe is designed to compete in the same league as NVIDIA’s MX-class GPUs and AMD’s RX Vega Integrated GPUs, it hosts several features such as variable rate sharing, Intel DLBoost, AV1 decode support, PCIe Gen 4.0 support, adaptive sync and Intel Deep Link which we will get to shortly. It should be noted that Iris Xe MAX supports DirectX 12.1 and has Variable Rate Shading which is a DX12 Ultimate feature. Other DX12 Ultimate Features such as DirectX Ray Tracing are not performed on low-power GPUs so expecting them on the Iris MAX Xe would be silly.
Intel Deep LinkIntel Deep Link is a new feature that comes into play when an Intel 11th Gen processor is paired with the Iris Xe MAX GPU. Since both the GPUs (IGP on the CPU, and the GPU) have the same Xe microarchitecture, it’s easy to combine their strengths via software to accelerate certain workloads. This does not mean that Intel is running multi-GPU configurations for gaming, for such situations, the Iris MAX Xe GPU will be working alone. Although, users will be able to switch between the GPUs if they chose to. Certain games such as Dota 2 benefit from lower latencies so an IGP can outperform the discrete GPU. But for most use cases, the discrete GPU would be best for gaming.
Coming back to Deep Link, developers will be able to utilise OneAPI toolkits such as OpenVINO to accelerate certain AI applications. The Xe GPU has two media encoders so the two chips working together can use four media encoders together. Intel revealed that they have a proof of concept of how the two GPUs were able to accelerate media encoding far quicker than even some discrete high-end graphics cards. This would mean that you can export videos much quicker using Intel’s codecs accelerated by Deep Link compared to something like NVENC. Intel will shed more light on this development next year.
Notebooks powered by Intel Iris Xe MAX GraphicsSeveral OEMs have already announced designs featuring Intel’s 11th Gen Tiger Lake Core processors along with Intel Iris Xe MAX discrete graphics. Acer’s Swift 3x is the first unit to feature the new Intel GPU and other OEMs such as ASUS and Dell will be releasing their SKUs shortly.
Intel Iris Xe MAX DG1 GPU will be present in the ASUS VivoBook Flip TP470 and the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 laptops.

Leaked AnTuTu score pegs upcoming Snapdragon 875 to be 25 faster than before
Qualcomm has confirmed it will hosting the annual Snapdragon Summit from December 1, but this time in a virtual avatar due to the COVID-19 pandemic where the company is highly anticipated to launch the successor to the Snapdragon 865, likely called the Snapdragon 875. And before its official launch, we may already have an idea of how powerful the next-gen flagship really is.
The AnTuTu score of the Snapdragon 875 has leaked out online, showing a 25% jump in performance, than the previous generation. According to the leak, the Snapdragon 875 (codenamed Lahaina) has scored a whopping 847868, which is claimed to be around 25% more than the AnTuTu score of the Snapdragon 865+.
However, the leak comes from an unverified Twitter leakster, and we suggest taking this information with a pinch of salt.
While it’s not clear yet how small or densely packed, the scores indicate the Snapdragon 875 would mark a big leap in raw performance. Both Apple and Huawei embraced 5nm architecture in the chipsets used in the new iPhones and Mate 40 series respectively. It’s likely that Samsung and Qualcomm will also follow suit. Just how much will the difference in performance be, that remains to be seen.
Rumours are also rife that Qualcomm is working on its gaming phone in collaboration with Asus, likely as a reference to showcase the performance chops of the new chipset. With top-end performance plateauing when it comes to real-world usage, it’s in gaming where the might of a new processor would likely flourish.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War requires 250GB on the PC
Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will require up to 250GB of storage space at launch on PC. This is for the gamers who will be running the game in 4K with ray-tracing enabled. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will feature 4K visuals, uncapped frame rates, Ray Tracing Shadows, NVIDIA DLSS, and Reflex Technology.
It is possible that Black Ops Cold War could be a lot closer to its PC size on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, as the consoles will be able to harness the power of new ray-tracing enabled GPUs with resolution up to 4k.
Sony has said PlayStation 5 will offer players more flexibility on how they manage their storage on the console, enabling users able to configure installations and choose to install just a game’s multiplayer or delete the single-player campaign once completed.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on November 13, 2020.

To replace the iPhone 12 camera, you will have to visit an official Apple technician
The iPhones are quite expensive in India and if something goes wrong with the device outside of the warranty, one usually resorted to getting their devices fixed by third-party repair shops. It looks like this may be difficult for iPhone 12 users. iFixit has discovered that replacing the camera module of the iPhone 12 causes some issues. It's not just a simple error screen that one gets. However, it looks like the same problem does not affect the iPhone 12 Pro.
As reported by GSMarena, “iFixit explains that Apple has changed its training manuals. Starting with the iPhone 12 series, changing the display and camera requires the use of the System Configuration tool, which will connect to Apple’s servers before reprogramming the new component to work properly.”
During the era of the iPhone 5s, one could only fix the fingerprint sensor on the iPhone via an authorised Apple repair. This made sense as the fingerprint sensor is vital for security. You can check out the iPhone 12 camera swap test video below.
Speaking of the new iPhones, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are on sale in India, with the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max going on sale later in November. The smartphones announced earlier in October can be purchased from the online Apple Store, and from authorised retailers across the country. Interestingly, the new iPhones are yet to be made available on both Flipkart and Amazon. You can learn more about the iPhone 12 devices here.
If you are an iPhone user, then know that the Apple One subscription is now available in India. You can learn all the details here.

Tencent kills PUBG Mobile in India
Indian users will have to bid a tearful farewell to PUBG Mobile from October 30 onwards. In a post on its official Indian Facebook account, it was announced that Tencent Games will terminate all services and access for users in India to PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite. On top of this, the rights to publish the game in India will be returned to “the owner of the PUBG intellectual property,” namely, PUBG Corp.
The post also emphasizes that protecting user data has always been a “top priority” for the game. It also notes that the developers always complied with applicable data protection laws and regulations in India. It further noted that all users’ gameplay information was processed transparently and the same was disclosed in its privacy policy. It ends the post by saying that it deeply regrets the outcome, but thanks the love and support it got for the game in India.
The point about returning the rights to publish PUBG Mobile in India to PUBG Corp is in line with an earlier statement. Soon after the game was banned in India, PUBG Corp. released a statement saying it fully intends to comply with the ban in India and understands why these steps had to be taken. It also said that it had decided to cut ties with Chinese firm Tencent and cancel the licence that allows Tencent to run PUBG Mobile in India.
To recall, PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite were among the 118 apps that were banned by the Indian government on September 2. However, crafty players were able to find a way around the ban and continue playing. However, with the termination of all services, it seems like that won’t be possible after October 30.
Thankfully, while PUBG Mobile was a great game, there are some other games that you may wish to try. You can check those out here

Netflix raises Standard and Premium plan prices in the US, what does that mean for Indian subscribers
If you were moaning about having to shell out Rs 799 for a premium Netflix plan, there could be some bad news on the horizon for all you pocket pinchers. Netflix is now raising the prices of both the standard and premium plans in the US and since Netflix doesn’t really follow differential pricing for other markets, we’re assuming that prices in India could rise as well. Remember, this is all speculation at this point as Netflix has not made an official announcement regarding raising prices in other markets.
The Netflix Standard plan has been raised from $13 a month to $14 a month. The Premium plan is going from $16 a month up to $18 a month. The Basic plan stays the same at $9 a month. In India, the Standard plan costs Rs 649 a month while the Premium plan costs Rs 799 a month. With this increase in the US pricing of these plans, the assumption is that we could see a Rs 100 rise in the both Standard and Premium plans, which would put them at about Rs 749 for the standard plan and Rs 899 for the premium plan. Also, remember that Netflix is available in Hindi, in India.
New members signing up for the service in the US will be charged the updated prices from October 29 onward. In a report by CNBC, Netflix has said that it will alert existing users 30 days before the changes are made. The company has also stated, “Timing will be based on the specific member’s billing cycle and will be rolled out over the course of the next two months.”.
Again, remember that this has not been announced in India yet so do take our assumptions with a grain of salt. As of right now, this price rise applies only to users in the US. So, for guys who want to check out the new Assassin's Creed show on Netflix, you may have to shell out a bit more cash for it.

Microsoft updates Word, Excel and PowerPoint for iPad with trackpad support and more
Apple unveiled the iPad Pro to the world in 2018, but the real story at the event was the fact that Apple invited Microsoft to the event to demo just how well the iPad Pro could run MS Office. Since then, Apple has been working on changing the iPad from a “content consumption” centric device to one that’s geared towards learning, content creation and productivity. We see this with the newest iPad Air that's been launched with support for the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard compatibility. Apple's iPadOS 14 only takes that much further. Today, Microsoft has taken a big step ahead in that goal, by updating the Office suite for iPad to offer some much requested features.
One of the major new features added to MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is trackpad support. The new Magic Keyboard from Apple features a decently sized trackpad, which can now be used to select text in doc files, select a number of cells in Excel and move objects around in PowerPoint. For anyone wondering, the trackpad support for Word, Excel and PowerPoint isn’t just for the trackpad integrated into the Magic Keyboard. If you’re using an external or third party trackpad paired with your iPad, they will work just fine as well.
In addition to trackpad support, Word and PowerPoint are also getting true multitasking support. Users will now be able to run two instances of the apps docked right next to each other if needed. This is great especially when it comes to MS Word, as often users would want to have one reference document open while they write up a report on the other. The same goes for PowerPoint, in case you want to move assets from one presentation into another. Microsoft in its official blogpost said that there are a number of new features that the company is working on, to be released in the course of the next few months. One feature in particular that the company calls out is the ability to open two Excel sheets side by side, a feature that Word and PowerPoint are both getting right now. Another big feature expected to be released is offline file support for files in the cloud.
The iPad, iPad Air and iPad Pro are the three tablets in Apple's portfolio that the company has designed for all kinds of uses. While the Pro series has found favour with power users and content creators, the latest iPad Air, we expect, will find a lot of takers in the form of people who need a thin and light powerful machine without a hefty price-tag. Not to mention, all iPad models do tend to offer far more battery life in comparison to their laptop counterparts.

OnePlus Watch launch has been indefinitely delayed: Report
OnePlus has been surprisingly open about the fact that it's developing a smartwatch, to jump into the hotly growing wearables market competing with Vivo, Oppo, Realme, and of course, Apple. Company executives have confirmed that the watch is under works, and we even got an update that it's going to ready soon at the OnePlus 8T launch event. Now, reports suggest there might still be some time before the launch.
According to the report, the smartwatch project has been "indefinitely delayed", which does not sound good. The smartwatch was tipped to release in October, but tipster Max J said the OnePlus Watch announcement has been delayed without a new date.
"A few weeks ago, I announced that the OnePlus Watch would be presented in October, but according to the latest information from multiple sources, there are some changes regarding the launch... According to my information, the OnePlus Watch announcement has been postponed without any new date. Now I don’t know the reasons for this step, but my guess is that there are some complications with production or software development," the tipster wrote.
By the looks of it, the OnePlus Watch may have run into issues in production or software development, which is why there is no new date for the launch. At least till OnePlus is able to fix them. If the issues are critical and complicated, fixing them could take weeks, and with the holiday season incoming, that might mean the watch may ultimately be launched next year.
Previous reports around the OnePlus Watch shows the shape and design is inspired heavily by the Vivo Watch that launched in China earlier this year. There are also rumours that it will use the latest Snapdragon 4100 Wear Platform, but nothing much outside of that.
OnePlus has been aggressively expanding beyond smartphones. After dabbling with flagships for the better part of its existence, the company expanded into earphones, and now a TWS. The company also has three smartTVs in its portfolio and three budget smartphones for the global market. The OnePlus Watch sounds quite logical for a company that now aspires to cater to more niches in consumer electronics.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed to December 10, 2020
Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed yet again. The game was originally set to release on April 16, 2020, and was subsequently delayed to November 19, 2020. Now the developer of the game, CD Projekt Red has announced that the game has been delayed yet again by 21 days and will now release on December 10, 2020.
Those that have recently jumped on the Cyberpunk hype-train should know that the game was originally announced back in 2012 with the first teaser trailer releasing in January 2013. When the first trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 released, the tagline at the end of the video said the game will release “when it's done”. Clearly, the developers are holding onto that thought. It is very likely that the COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused more people to work from home, has also led to unforeseen difficulties in the development cycle of the game. The studio has also been in crunch mode for some time now, working overtime to ensure the game releases on time.
In a statement, CD Projekt Red says that the biggest challenge is shipping the game for the current and next-gen consoles along with the PC at the same time. This means that the game needs to be ready for 9 machines at launch. This includes the Xbox One, Xbox One X, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS5, PC and Stadia. That’s a lot, especially when you consider the scope and scale of the game.
We have important news to share with you pic.twitter.com/qZUaD6IwmM
— Cyberpunk 2077 (@CyberpunkGame) October 27, 2020In early October, CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077 had gone gold. This means that the game was playable from start to finish and ready for printing on discs. The newly announced delay not only brings to question the concept of a game going gold but also the significance and improvements brought by the day one patch.
The silver lining on this bad news is that November is full of AAA game launches along with the upcoming Xbox Series X and PS5, making it a jam-packed month for gaming.

India wants to go digital, but it ranks amongst the countries with slowest average internet speeds
India has slumped to the 131st position in global average mobile internet speeds out of 138 countries, as per the latest Ookla report for September 2020. With this, India ranks amongst the lowest eight countries, with average download speeds hitting below 12.07 Mbps. India’s neighbouring regions like China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, Maldives and Indonesia rank significantly higher up in the Ookla global internet speed index.
When it comes to the global broadband speeds, India ranks 70 out of 175 countries on the Ookla’s fixed broadband speeds. India’s fixed-line internet speeds stand at 46.47 Mbps for download and 42.43 Mbps for uploads, while the global average is 85.73 Mbps and 45.74 Mbps respectively. This means that the broadband speeds are improving but the same cannot be said for mobile internet speeds.
How did we get here?We took a look at the past average speeds data released by Ookla and found that while the mobile internet speeds in India is definitely improving each year but at the speed of a snail. In April 2019, India registered 10.71 Mbps download speeds for mobile internet followed by 10.87 Mbps in June 2019 that slipped to 10.65 Mbps in August 2019.
The global average mobile internet speed a year ago in September 2019 was 29.5 Mbps for downloads and 11.34 Mbps for uploads. According to the latest report, the average speed for downloads stands at 35.96 Mbps for September 2020 and 11.22 Mbps for uploads.
Last year, South Korea was the country to top the leaderboard with 95.11 Mbps download speeds that have now increased to 121 Mbps. South Korea tops Ookla’s speed index with 121 Mbps downloads speeds followed by China at the second position with 113.35 Mbps. The neighbouring regions such as Pakistan registered 17.13 Mbps download speeds, Sri Lanka at 19.95 Mbps, Nepal at 17.12 Mbps, Myanmar at 23.22 Mbps, the Maldives at 35.70 Mbps and Indonesia at 16.70 Mbps.
India ranks 131 followed by Uganda, Bangladesh, Somalia, Venezuela, Sudan, Palestine and Afghanistan. Earlier in March this year, India registered a notable decline in its average internet speeds due to the Coronavirus pandemic that saw many people working from home, putting networks under unprecedented stress. Having said that, while other countries have successfully managed to stabilize their telecom networks to pre-pandemic levels, it looks like India will have to double down its efforts on getting up to speed, especially if the telecom operators want to adopt 5G in the future.

LG Free Tone FN7 TWS with ANC and self-cleaning abilities launched
The truly wireless in-ear monitor segment has seen a massive spurt in growth over the last year, with options being available to users at practically every price point. Everyone from audio brands to smartphone companies has been manufacturing TWS IEMs, with LG being no exception. The company has now announced a new pair called the Tone Free FN7 earbuds, a pair of truly wireless earbuds that come not only with the ability to self-clean, but now also feature active noise cancellation.
LG’s Free Tone FN6 were the first IEMs from the company to feature a UV-C based self-cleaning system. The UV-C light helps sanitise the earbuds from bacteria and viruses, a new trend that’s come about as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. What the “self-cleaning” system doesn’t do is remove any leftover ear wax that might get deposited inside the ear tips as a result of prolonged use. The added feature for the Free Tone FN7 is the active noise cancellation. LG claims that with ANC turned on, the FN7 can run for about 5 hours and with the feature turned off, the buds will deliver 7 hours of play time.
The audio on the FN7 is tuned by Meridian, and an EQ is offered in the Free Tone app. In terms of pricing and availability, LG has announced that the Free Tone FN7 will be available in South Korea starting today, with no word on price. The buds will be available in other parts of the world like Asia later in the year.
Apple eliminating the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 back in 2016 eventually sparked the forced move towards a wireless future. Apple itself offers the AirPods and AirPods Pro, two truly wireless IEMs, rumoured to be due for an upgrade later next year. Everyone from big electronics brands like Sony to smartphone companies such as OnePlus, Realme and even Oppo offer their own TWS IEM solutions for consumers.

Facebook Cloud Gaming service: What is it and how it differs from Google Stadia, Microsoft xCloud and Amazon Luna
Google, Amazon, NVIDIA and Microsoft are all gunning to give users a AAA cloud gaming experience boasting of higher resolutions, high frame rates and figuring out how to address the problem of lag. Facebook, on the other hand, has announced that it is taking a different approach with its cloud gaming offering. Facebook aims to offer players free to play mobile games via cloud streaming. Facebook says, “Cloud game streaming for the masses still has a way to go, and it’s important to embrace both the advantages and the reality of the technology rather than try to oversell where it’ll be in the future”.
Through its cloud gaming service, Facebook is offering what users are accustomed to on the social networking platform - free to play games. According to Facebook, it's a great place to start as it is the type of games people usually play on the mobile platform. Facebook says that “in the future, our systems and infrastructure will improve to deliver more types of games — possibly all types of games. Until then, rest assured that the cost of trying our cloud games is $0”.
No separate app or controller needed for Facebook Cloud GamingAccording to Facebook, cloud games will be streamed to the Facebook app itself. There is no need for special hardware or a controller or a new app. Users will be able to play the games in the Gaming tab or from the News Feed.
Desktop users will be able to play these games using a keyboard and mouse. According to Facebook, “More than 380 million people play games each month on Facebook, and people will play cloud-streamed games right alongside those playing instant games in HTML5. And if we do our jobs right, you won’t notice how the games are delivered”.
Facebook Cloud Gaming is not coming to iOS for nowBecause of Apple’s cloud gaming policy, it looks like Facebook Cloud Gaming will be limited to Android devices for the time being. Just like xCloud, Facebook can use the Safari browser as a workaround, but the social networking says that there are “limitations to what we can offer on Safari”.
When and where will Facebook Cloud gaming be available?Facebook says that access to cloud games on Facebook will “roll out in the US, initially available across California, Texas and Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states including, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia and West Virginia. We’ll expand regional access in the coming months as we scale the infrastructure needed to roll out cloud gaming across the US”.
There is no information when the service will launch in other markets, especially India.
What games will be playable on Facebook Cloud gaming at launch?Asphalt 9: Legends, Mobile Legends: Adventure, PGA TOUR Golf Shootout, Solitaire: Arthur’s Tale and WWE SuperCard will be available to play at launch. Facebook will also add Dirt Bike Unchained in the coming weeks. The game library is expected to expand as time goes on.
Google with Stadia, Microsoft with xCloud and Amazon with Luna are looking to offer flagship games via streaming services, Facebook is looking to cater to the casual gaming audience.
Back in 2018, we had the chance to check out a mobile game streaming service called Hatch Entertainment. The aim of the service was to let users stream mobile games to their smartphones. You can learn more about it here.

The Realme Watch S is confirmed to launch globally on November 2 and will debut in Pakistan first. The Realme Watch S is expected to be a toned-down version of the Watch S Pro that was teased during IAA 2020. According to a teaser image posted by the Twitter handle of Realme Pakistan, the Watch S is set to make its debut on November 2 alongside multiple AIoT products and smartphones. The picture also gives us a look at the design of the smartwatch and the different strap options to choose from. OnePlus 7, 7 Pro and 7T receive new update with practically no difference in changelog
While the Android-11 based OxygenOS 11 update will hit the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7 series smartphones in December, the company just pushed out an update to the OnePlus 7 series and OnePlus 7T, that fixes a few things and improves performance.
The latest update doesn’t have new features as such, but updates the software to version 10.3.6 for users in India, fixing some bugs and retaining the previous September security patch. The update seems like a precursor to the major feature update expected to roll out in December. This is in fact the second update for the OnePlus 7 series and the OnePlus 7T, in October. Curiously missing in action is the OnePlus 7T Pro.
According to the forum posts, the new update for the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 7T has more or less the same changelog as before. That includes a new user assistance feature, optimized power consumption, fix for flashback issue, and system stability improvements.
All eyes are now on the roll out of the Android 11 update to older OnePlus smartphones. The OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and the OnePlus 8T are already running on OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11, with new features like an always-on display, grouped notifications, and more.

FAU-G teaser gives players a better look at the upcoming game
Over a month after announcing FAU-G (Fearless And United Guards), n-Core games have finally released a teaser for its upcoming game. The teaser seems to be mostly pre-rendered, so it can be difficult to know just what will make it to actual gameplay. However, what it does seem to focus on is the Galwan valley, so it most likely will be based on the clashes that happened between Indian and Chinese forces earlier this year.
Good always triumphs over evil, the light will always conquer the darkness. May victory bless Fearless And United Guards, our FAU-G. Launching in November 2020! Happy #Dussehra@akshaykumar @BharatKeVeer @vishalgondal #AtmanirbharBharat #FAUG pic.twitter.com/dZJgiVTxeT
— nCORE Games (@nCore_games) October 25, 2020One of the interesting things to note in the trailer is that there doesn’t seem to be any firearms in the game. No character in the teaser seems to be using any guns, instead, there seems to be a focus on melee-based combat with soldiers resorting to clubs and hand-to-hand combat. There seems to be a focus on team-based action as towards the end we see five soldiers standing together. Not quite sure if FAU-G will allow for cooperative or competitive multiplayer. However, the game won't feature a battle royale mode like PUBG Mobile. The founder of n-Core Games, Vishal Gondal has stated that the game will not feature a battle royale mode, at least not at launch and will instead focus on the clash at Galwan Valley.
The teaser also notes that there is no set launch date for the game yet and is still in the ‘coming soon’ stage. However, the company has promised a tentative launch sometime next month. So players won't have to wait too long to get their hands on the game. They are also advised against downloading any fake apps that have populated the Google Play Store since the game's announcement.

PS5 DualSense controller can be used to play Xbox games on Android via xCloud
We’ve all been waiting with bated breath for some hands-on information about the PS5, and it looks like that day isn't far. International media has started receiving PS5 review units on October 23. So, we can expect content around the console to trickle out starting this week all the way up to the launch of the console. However, it looks like YouTuber, Austin Evans, got a retail unit of the PS5 DualSense controller and decided to have fun with it. You can check out everything he did with the controller in the video below.
One of the key things to note is that the PS5 DualSense controller is not compatible with the PS4. It does get recognized as a controller. But don't expect to game using it. Austin even plugs it into an Xbox Series X, but as expected, nothing happens.
What’s interesting is that he pairs the controller with an Android device and uses it as a Bluetooth controller, confirming that the DualSense will in fact work with your smartphone as a Bluetooth controller. He then goes on to play Forza, an Xbox game on his Android device via xCloud, Microsoft’s game streaming service.
While one can do this using a PS4 controller, what was interesting is to see how the new controller performs. Of course, its haptic feedback features were not active as those need to be implemented by the developer. However, we doubt they’ll be implemented for use with xCloud games.
He also compares the size of the PS5 DualSense controller with the PS4 DualShock controller and an Xbox controller. While the PS5 controller is definitely chunkier than its predecessor, it looks to be more in line with the design of the Xbox controller, which isn't a bad thing. The trigger of the DualSense also seems to have a bit more tension.
You can check out details of the India price of the PS5 here and the price and release date of the Series X here.
