Indian NGO Prahar has sought to ban the Chinese game Undawn: Heres why
An Indian NGO named Prahar has urged the Indian government to ban the Chinese giant Tencent’s open-world survival RPG called Undawn. If Indian authorities agree to Prahar’s allegations, then Undawn could be a new addition to the long list of banned Chinese apps in India. But, let’s not rush to any conclusion and see for ourselves why Prahar thinks Undawn must be banned.
Prahar’s reasons for urging Undawn’s ban1. Undawn was launched on June 15, 2023, which happens to be the same day when the India-China border clash happened at the Galwan valley. About 20 Indian soldiers were reportedly killed in this skirmish. Prahar finds it very disturbing that Tencent chose June 15 as the date for the release of Undawn.

2. The issues don’t end there. Prahar is also concerned about the military uniforms and weapons (like AK47, G36, M416, and MPX. in the game that were apparently worn/used by Chinese soldiers at the time of the attack.
Abhay Mishra, Prahar National Convenor and President has said the game is trying to exert its “soft influence” on the young minds who play this game.
Not only that he thinks this is an insult to the bravehearts who lost their lives and the sentiments of Indians.

Besides, the aforementioned weapons, the in-game armoury also consists of a variety of bombs, grenades, and melee weapons. You use these weapons as you go out on a survival mission in a world filled with zombies. You can play player vs player and player vs environment.

First images of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 emerges online: Take a look
While we all wait for the official release of Samsung’s latest flagship foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, a sneak peek of the official press renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has surfaced online ahead of the event, thanks to a leak obtained by an Indian tech publication.
The leaked renders first revealed by Smartprix showcase the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in all its glory. At first glance, it retains several design elements from its predecessor, the Fold 4. This includes the USB Type-C port, speaker grills, and microphone locations.
However, Samsung has made notable enhancements, with a considerably thinner bezel that promises to elevate the user's visual experience by significantly increasing the screen-to-body ratio.
Also read: Google Pixel Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 vs Oppo Find N2 Flip: What's your choice?
Although the color selection for the new device is yet to be confirmed, the leaked render gives us a closer glimpse at a variant in Blue. Another feature that catches the eye is the S Pen, which is likely to be sold separately, continuing the trend established with the previous model.
The back of the device features a triple camera setup, reminiscent of the Fold 4. However, a slight relocation of the LED near the rear cameras indicates Samsung's meticulous attention to detail and efforts towards perfecting the design.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will house Samsung's custom-designed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, a detail previously disclosed in other leaks. This powerful chipset is currently deployed in Samsung's flagship Galaxy S23 series, suggesting that the Fold 5 will pack a similar performance punch.
With its refined hinge design and likely S Pen support, the Fold 5 is poised to carry forward Samsung's legacy in the realm of foldable smartphones. However, it remains to be seen whether these upgrades, including the potential enhancements in the camera department, will enable Samsung to maintain its competitive edge in the face of emerging rivals like the Google Pixel Fold and rumoured foldable from OnePlus.
As anticipation continues to build, all eyes are now on Samsung's Unpacked event next month, where the tech giant is expected to officially lift the veil on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5.

4. AirPlay in Hotel RoomsApple will be partnering with leading hotel chains to allow you to easily AirPlay content to Hotel TVs via a QR code. This should allow you to consume content of your choice when you are staying in a hotel and you want to kill time. You won’t have to carry the Apple TV with you if you have been doing that till now.
5. Interactive widget supportInteractive widgets have been a big update for almost all Apple software platforms this year. However, only select first-party apps from Apple like Reminders, Apple Music and Apple Home, and third-party apps like Quizlet supports the feature right now. Realme 11 Pro Plus camera features detailed: 200MP SuperZoom and more
Realme 11 Pro+ is the highest-end model in the Realme’s numbered series this year. Realme launched it alongside the Realme 11 Pro at the brand’s “The Next Leap” launch event. As part of the promotions, Realme touted the 200MP sensor and Zoom to the next level capability of the Pro+ variant. Here, we will learn about these camera features in detail. And since camera is a key selling point for the Realme 11 Pro Plus, you would want to know what its camera setup is all about before the phone goes on sale in a couple of days from now.
Realme 11 Pro Plus cameras: Optics and specifics1. One of Realme 11 Pro Plus’s standout feature is its 200MP camera. This is the leader of the pack. Well, it’s a trio that consists of this Samsung ISOCELL 200MP HP3 sensor. Realme claims this is “the biggest sensor and aperture in the price segment”.
It brings support for both OIS and PDAF. In case you don’t know, the former stands for Optical Image Stabilization and lets you get a more stable and clear photos. You can avoid jittery and shaky videos. Also, in darker light situations, the OIS enables your phone to capture better exposed photos. In case of the Realme 11 Pro+, there is hardware-level SuperOIS which brings the benefits of hardware-level OIS and some software algorithms to enhance the final output.
On the other hand, Autofocus helps you take crisp shots of moving objects. It’s good to have both of these features.
2. Now taking things a step further in darker settings is the pixel binning tech which turns the 0.56μm 200MP mode into a 1.12μm 50MP mode better for dark lighting conditions, or a 2.24μm 12.5MP mode if you are clicking in an even darker ambience.
3. Speaking of which, you can take full 200MP (presumably crispier) photos with 200 million details. Now, this is definitely an overkill for most users. The file size woud be consuming a lot more space than the 12.5MP standard shots. So beware of that too.

4. Hardware-wise, you get to record up to 4K30 fps videos from the back and up to 1080p 30 fps from the front. Besides the 200MP camera, the rear setup also consists of an 8MP 112-degree ultrawide shooter for wide perspective and a 2MP macro sensor for close-up shots. For selfies and video calls, you get a 32MP camera on the front.
5. Rest, there are plenty of software goodies in the mix like Moon mode, Super Nightscape, Handheld Starry Sky Mode (using OIS and algorithms for exposure and noise management), Super Group Portrait (up to 10 persons in the frame), One Take (AI will select several "best composition" photos from various perspectives), and Street Photography Mode with Lonely Planet filters.
In our review, we shall be testing all these features to guage how well the Realme 11 Pro+ cameras work. The phone is set to hit the stores starting June 15 at 12 PM.

3 key iPadOS 17 features that Android 14s tablet version should also offer
Apple introduced new updates for its iPadOS 17 at WWDC 2023 which aims at enhancing the user experience with interactive widgets, new freeform tools, among others. The WWDC event saw many other announcements in Apple’s lineup and the much-awaited release of the brand’s first ever mixed reality headset.
While iPadOS has been updated with various new features Google’s Android 14 is anticipated to release many more updates for its interface and the UI system at large.
The two operating systems often collide in the market and are prone to compete with their latest features and taking that forward, let’s discuss what weightage the newly announced iPadOS 17 features have on the Tablet Android (currently 13).
Also read: Apple Vision Pro is superior to Meta Quest 3 but is that a reason to spend on it?
1) Customisation of InterfaceiPadOS 17 update has primarily focused on the interface with motion effects for wallpapers, interactive widgets, personalised lock screen option, live activities among others.
While iPadOS 17 is building upon the interface now, Android has always offered custom theme options for the users where they can reflect their preferences in the UI with quick gestures, themed icons and vector fonts. However, there are limitations in interactive widgets.
2) Privacy and SecurityThe newly updated iPadOS 17 provides an extension to the Communication Safety feature wherein the function now holds protections for children and for the adults there is a new function termed Sensitive Content Warning. The users get to be more data centric when sharing their information and ensure that the system has added features to Photos and Calendar permissions.
To fight mercenary spyware the system has now enabled a Lockdown mode. Android on the other hand has been using various data privacy and protected computing tracking for establishing a secure space for its users. With iPadOS 17 developing new branches of tracking we can only expect Android 14 to announce the same features.

3) Accessibility and HealthiPadOS has a range of new accessibility features along with health app improvements. The system now offers audio transcriptions wherein when the audio is playing it will be transcribed live and similarly, Android has audio descriptions however, they only offer descriptions throughout the apps.
Apart from that, you can also create stickers on iPadOS 17. The system also offers a mental health tracker, menstrual tracker, cycle tracker among others on the device itself. However, Android is restricted to a few of these options.

3 big iOS 17 features that will improve Apples mobile experience at WWDC 2023
Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference is taking place this week, and while the whole world is waiting for Apple’s mixed-reality headset to appear, iOS 17 is pretty much the focus of the entire developer focused event.
Quite a lot of iOS 17 features have been teased from various Apple analysts, updates that will enhance iPhone and other usability aspects related to Apple’s mobile operating system. We’ve put together three main things we feel Apple’s going to make announcements related to iOS 17:
1) Apple focus on extensive care of your healthApple is looking into their user's health extensively and iOS 17 is heavy on how they are turning the iPhone into a multi-layered personal health and fitness tracker for every user. Apple is allegedly working on a journaling app which enables logging in thoughts and activities, which will further get analysed to get a hold on users’ daily habits.
NEW: Apple plans an AI-powered Health and Wellness digital coaching service for next year. Plus, the Health app is coming to the iPad this year alongside new features for mood and emotion tracking and vision condition management. https://t.co/V9n8pIgfCi
— Mark Gurman (@markgurman) April 25, 2023Apple is also adding a feature to the Health App which will have a mood tracker asking you day to day questions and then analyse your mood.

2) Turn iPhone into smart home displayAs per expectations, iOS 17 may also have some improvements related to screen functionality. Apple is working on some iPhone lock screen interface which might just work as a smart home display to control and pair with the likes of Google Next or Amazon Echo.
NEW: Apple is planning a new smart-display-like mode in iOS 17, a new interface for information and notifications when an iPhone is locked and in landscape mode, as a major new feature. It’s a potential precursor to a standalone Apple smart home hub. https://t.co/mgFsu4nQ6x
— Mark Gurman (@markgurman) May 24, 2023When you turn the phone horizontal, the interface will show "information such as calendar appointments, the weather and notifications."
3) Apple Wallet will get an update in iOS 17Apple Wallet is expected to get an update but what the upgrade will be exactly still isn't clear. Does Apple want to push forward some financial aid to its devices perhaps? Jest aside, Apple’s Wallet app getting an upgrade during WWDC 2023 sounds like a plan.
The Apple Park Visitor Center is one of the only apple retail stores in the US to support contactless pay straight from an iPhone. Awesome to see in person! pic.twitter.com/GiFDiL56OO
— Michael (@NTFTWT) May 15, 2022These are some of the very important features that we are definitely expecting to be featured in iOS 17. But again, these haven't been confirmed by Apple yet and we have to wait for WWDC 2023 for Apple to confirm it all.
