The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is receiving a new update that brings with it a bunch of features and fixes. To begin with, the smartphone is getting the Digital Wellbeing feature with the update. Digital Wellbeing helps users monitor how much time they have spent on an app and help them cut down on time spent staring at the screen.
The update also brings with it fixes for issues related to dark mode. It also brings with it the July 2019 Android security patch to the smartphone. The update is rolling out over the air and users can head to Settings > System > System updates to manually check for the update.
In our review of the Max Pro M1, we said, “The Asus Zenfone Max Pro can take on the best in the market with ease. Like most Asus phones, the spec-sheet is maxed out with the best mid-range hardware. That includes latest stock Android and a 5,000mAh battery, two features which solve the biggest pain points people tend to have when making a purchase at that price range. The phone even manages to take on the formidable Redmi Note 5 Pro, save for the imaging prowess, but the pros easily outweigh the cons. In all, it’s always good to have a choice of clean stock UI without compromising on the performance.” You can read our in-depth review of the device here.
Launched in India in May 2018, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset with up to 6GB of RAM. The phone comes with expandable storage. The 18:9 display measures 5.99 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The Zenfone Max Pro M1 employs an aluminium body and weighs 180g. Part of the reason for the phone's bulk is its 5000mAh non-removable lithium-ion polymer battery. It also supports 10W fast charging. You can check out the features of the phone in detail here.
