OnePlus had announced it will be merging its OxygenOS and its sister concern Oppo’s ColorOS for an unnamed Unified OS. This was all part of its OnePlus 2.0 vision and something tech media started calling as Oppofication of OnePlus and OxygenOS. There was a lot of backlash from the OnePlus community and the larger tech media and Android fans. Well, probably owing to the mounting pressure from these social groups, the company has decided to call off its plans for this Unified OS. In other words, OxygenOS and ColorOS will retain their individuality, even though the internal codebase between the two OSes will be the same.
Now, that’s a major development, albeit a bit nebulous, not gonna lie. So, let’s try to read into what OnePlus has disclosed recently.
OxygenOS 13: What to expect
At a recent media roundtable, OnePlus c-suite said, “Our software philosophy for Oxygen OS has always been to offer users a light and clean experience that is close to stock Android and oriented towards usage globally. With Oxygen OS 13, we want to deliver an experience that long-time OnePlus users will be familiar with while ensuring it upholds hallmarks of Oxygen OS, like a fast and smooth experience, burdenless design, and ease of use. Oxygen OS 13 will retain its unique visual design and a range of exclusive customization features.”
Now, there are a few mixed signals here. As in, on one hand, they are talking about going back to their vanilla Android roots but also plans of continuing the customization features. Now, we are not sure if they are referring to the core OxygenOS features like Shelf, or the new thingies like the ColorOS launcher.
Also, one other thing that we came to know is the involvement of Google in the cooking of this new software. However, whether this is just the usual role it plays in guiding Android updates, we aren't sure. We will have to wait and see how this would materialize.

Russia's communications regulator demanded TikTok stop including military-related content in recommended posts for minors, in an announcement shared in its official Telegram channel.
Qualcomm showed what’s it’s been prepping in its labs for the coming generation of Android flagships. This includes a Snapdragon X70 5G modem and FastConnect 7800 with WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. You see these would be the tech that you will come to see in the upcoming handsets, starting with the top-tier ones of course. Well, this may very well be the first time you are coming across a WiFi 7 product because it is as per the company. The company also boasts the ability of FastConnect to deliver CD-quality lossless audio over Bluetooth 5.3.
Snapdragon X70 5G Modem Specs and Features
Qualcomm calls Snapdragon X70 5G the “world’s only comprehensive 5G modem-RF system family capable of supporting every commercial 5G band from 600 MHz to 41 GHz.”
While that’s promising for the 5G buildout, what’s even more inquisitive is its support for a built-in 5G AI processor that should leverage the power of AI to improve “speeds, coverage, latency, mobility, link robustness, and power efficiency”.
Qualcomm details the Snapdragon X70 modem features Gigabit 5G, a standalone mmWave support, 5G Dual-SIM Dual-Active (DSDA), 4x downlink carrier aggregation, and uplink carrier aggregation.
The claimed upload and download speeds are up to 3.5Gbps and up to 10Gbps.
Thanks to a 4nm architecture and something called PowerSave Gen 3, the new modem is said to offer 60% more power efficiency than the precursor.
Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 modem Specs and Features
This works on a 14nm process and will be powering WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. Qualcomm has equipped the modem with High Band Simultaneous (HBS) Multi-Link technology that “leverages two Wi-Fi radios for four streams of high band connectivity in 5GHz and/ or 6GHz bands”.
Not only that, but FastConnect 7800 also has a four-stream DBS (Dual-Band Simultaneous) that keeps ultra-low latency to 2ms.
When it is connected to a 320MHz channel on a 6GHz spectrum, the peak speeds can go up to 5.8Gbps.
Meanwhile, it allows 2.4GHz for Bluetooth and lower-bandwidth WiFi.
Speaking of Bluetooth, FastConnect drives Bluetooth 5.3 with Dual Bluetooth radios for enhanced connectivity. And interestingly enough, Qualcomm claims FastConnect 7800 can play 16-bit CD lossless quality audio.
There are the usual improvements in terms of coverage (2x), efficiency (up to 50%), and overall connectivity (it can pair in half the time).
Speaking about the new announcements, Qualcomm VP and GM, Mobile Compute and Connectivity, said, “Coupled with up to 50% lower power consumption and Intelligent Dual Bluetooth with advanced Snapdragon Sound capabilities, FastConnect 7800 is simply the best client connectivity offering in the industry”.

Realme’s MWC 2022 announcements included the Realme Buds Air 3, the impending launch of Realme GT Neo 3 with 150W UltraDart charging, and Realme Book Prime. The new earbuds feature 42 dB Active Noise Cancelation (ANC), 10mm Dynamic Bass Booster that’s backed by Dolby Audio quality, dual device connection support, and up to 30 hours of runtime between charges. The other major product has been the laptop but since it’s already available in the Chinese market as Realme Book Enhanced, we will skim through its specs and features. We shall get into its pricing details as well down below. And also learn a thing or two about the new fast charging tech.
Realme GT Neo 3 with 150W UltraDart fast charging: Details
This 150W ultraDart fast charging tech claims to be able to top up a battery from 0-50% in 5 minutes even though Realme hasn’t revealed the battery size we are talking about here. The rumoured specs of Realme GT Neo 3 are a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz 10Bit OLED screen, 16MP selfie snapper, a 50MP (IMX766, OIS)+8MP+2MP rear camera setup, a Snapdragon 888, and a 4500mAh battery. Now, the rumours also reveal a Dimensity 8100 variant of the phone with a 5000mAh cell. However, we believe the 150W might be supported by the 4500mAh model of GT Neo 3 as just the other day, Oppo (Realme’s sister concern) also unveiled a 150W SuperVOOC with Battery Health Engine that boasts to fill a 4500mAh battery in 15 minutes. So, we came to this deduction.
In the press release, Realme goes on detailing the UltraDart Charging Architecture (UDCA) that is said to support charging between 100 and 200W speeds. The company also underlines the safety measures in place for ensuring the health of the battery and the phone bearing it:
First of all, the thrust of charge will be done in Multi Boost Charge Pumps. The temperature will be kept under 43℃ thanks to a Temperature Management Algorithm. The use of “industry-leading lithium batteries” will also apparently sustain 80% of battery capacity even at 1000+ charge cycles. Realme Buds Air 3 Specs, Features, and Price
Realme Buds Air 3 sports a 10mm dynamic bass boost driver with a liquid crystal polymer diaphragm. The audio Dolby Audio certified. Similarly, the buds are TUV Rheinland rated for ANC up to 42 dB. Other goodies in the mix are simultaneous dual device connection, IPX5 water resistance, 88ms super-low latency mode, anti-wind call noise cancellation, fast charging, and 30 hours of music playback on a single charge without ANC, but with the case. It will be available in Europe in Blue and White colours at €59.99 (~₹5,085).

Google is known to have difficulty in keeping its unreleased product details under wrap. So as is traditionally the case, the renders of its forthcoming flagship have already been leaked. The drop comes from OnLeaks via Smartprix.com and it strips down all there’s to see about the upcoming Pixel 7 Pro. The phone seems to be sharing a similar design language as its precursor. That means a slightly curved fascia with a central punch hole camera and a triple rear camera setup. Yes, it continues the visor-like appearance at the back, although the protrusion looks a bit flatter.
Here’s everything we have learned about the device so far:
Google Pixel 7 Pro Design, Specs, and Features (Expected)
The Pixel 7 Pro will reportedly come with a 6.7 to 6.8-inch curved OLED screen on the front with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The bezels look rather slim. And even though this has rounded edges, the regular Pixel 7 could have a flat-screen like its antecedent.
Coming to the backside, there, you get to see a familiar visor-like camera housing with three cameras (probably of the same kinds as before). Yes, it borrows the design cues from the Pixel 6 lineup but there seems to be a smattering difference if you look closer. That is here in this renders, the camera hump looks fading into the frame and it isn’t that jutting out either.
One other tiny difference is the missing plastic strip housing the mmWave antenna which it looks like is being switched with a mmWave window flanking by the side frame.
Rest, it is said to have a USB-C port, dual stereo speaker setup, a SIM card tray, and physical dimensions of 163×76.6×8.7mm.
That’s all for now. We will keep you posted on the new updates about Google’s Pixel 7 lineup. So, stay tuned.

The original Realme Pad was a welcome addition to the tablet offerings in the market under the ₹20,000 price segment. And now a Mini sibling of it seems to be incoming. Called Realme Pad Mini, this one is reported to have a smaller 8.7-inch display while the former had a 10.7-inch panel. This leak comes from OnLeaks through Smartprix.com and shares with us a proper look at the rear side of the device. It also spills some beans about what to expect from this new Realme tablet like its Unisoc T616 chipset, a 6400mAh battery, and an 8MP camera at the back.
Here are all the details we currently n:
Realme Pad Mini Images, Specs, and Features
Realme Pad Mini is rumoured to sport an 8.7-inch panel with a 5MP selfie shooter on the front. Meanwhile, by the backside, there is a solo 8MP camera that comes in a different housing than the predecessor.
Also, different from the standard Realme Pad would be its internal machinery. The leak suggests that it could have a Unisoc T616 processor at the heart with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and a 6400mAh juice tank. This might come supported by an 18W charger.
Finally, all these would be packed in a 7.6mm thick chassis, claims the report. Now, since it’s too early to tell if these are accurate, we would advise you to consume them with a proverbial grain of salt.

On top of this, players can also expect “new experiences in Warzone.” It is possible that additional details will be revealed during E3.

Its mobile rivals Samsung and MediaTek have it. And other tech companies like Nvidia and Netflix have it. And now Qualcomm is also getting on the AV1 bandwagon as per a recent report. According to Protocol, the mobile chipmaker is “planning to add support for AV1 to its upcoming flagship Snapdragon mobile processor”. The report also adds that 2023 would be the “year AV1 finally sees broader adoption”.
Snapdragon AV1 support: Here’s what you need to know
Qualcomm is said to introduce AV1 codec support with a future Snapdragon processor codenamed ‘SM8550’. Now, the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 carries a code name ‘SM8450’ while the supposedly next-in-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ with ‘SM8475’ model name is rumoured to be in the works. That pattern of nomenclature would suggest the one with ‘SM8550’ could be Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, that’s likely to release in 2023.
More specifically, it would be Snapdragon’s Adreno GPU that supports this native AV1 feature.
Needless to say, things might change subject to market conditions and other factors.
Now what’s somewhat reassuring is that earlier this year, in an interview with Anandtech, Qualcomm’s SVP Alex Katouzian said, “we haven't been able to accommodate AV1. We'll probably accommodate in the future, but up until now, we just haven't been able to do it. It’s not that we don't want to do it - we just haven't had the ability to plan it in in time to try to make that happen.”
AV1 (AOMedia Video Codec 1.0) is an open-source royalty-free video codec developed by the Alliance for Open Media, which consists of big tech companies like Meta, Amazon, Netflix, Google, Microsoft, and Intel among its founding members. AV1 vaunts better efficiency in video decoding, i.e., faster video playback and streaming with improved visual quality at bit rates about 50% less than H.264 (HEVC).
So, although Qualcomm is taking its sweet time adopting this AV1 codec, when it does arrive, a large share of the Android phone market will reap its potential benefits. And we will be looking forward to this.

After 2020, everyone took a much-needed breather, but what 2021 brought along in the form of the second wave of coronavirus infections globally, made everyone run straight back into their homes, while sending the medical system into chaos. When everyone thought that the second wave was over, the virus pulled another card out of its sleeve and presented us with its mutated forms, of which the Omicron variant is the newest.
After being a central figure in many conversations, and infecting people worldwide, the SARS-CoV-2 variant: B.1.1.529, popularly known as Omicron, has been labelled a variant of concern. This has raised many eyebrows because the already active variants of the virus have been wreaking havoc, and no one knows what this has in store for us. For the most part.
Before we delve into the details, here’s a brief about how the coronavirus took the form of the Omicron variant. According to the UNICEF webpage dedicated to this variant of the virus, “When a virus is circulating widely and causing numerous infections, the likelihood of the virus mutating increases. The more opportunities a virus has to spread, the more opportunities it has to undergo changes.” This, for sure, indicates that the easing of the curbs across the globe is not an indication that our fight against the virus is over. We are very sad to say this, but it is still on.
As the world governments and administrative bodies prepare, in the wake of the increasing cases being triggered by the Omicron variant, it is important that you also stay informed. So, here we have brought for you a brief guide that will help you know the latest iteration of the coronavirus better so that you can give better information to the ones in contact with you, making them and yourself better prepared to fight the looming third wave, which we pray never comes.
What do we know?
When the first cases of this new variant were reported, no one knew what this exactly was. But since then, efforts of virologists and related researchers worldwide, day in and day out, have brought in some helpful information. One of the firsts in this very brief list is that the variant itself has a lot of variations. This means that this variant of the virus can take different forms and cause infections of varying nature, making it harder to identify and track. Reportedly, this variant hasn’t evolved from any other variant of note but has branched out distinctly, with its evolution starting around the second half of 2020.
The second that we know about the nature of the Omicron variant is that it is less harmful or, to say, severe in terms of causing infections when compared to the Delta variant. This does not mean, though, that we can take it lightly. At the end of the day, be it the Delta or the Omicron variant, once in a person’s body can wreak havoc and cause severe health consequences.
From the numbers that are coming in each day from medical institutions and other statistical bodies across the world, it is evident that this variant has a much higher transmission rate than any other that we know of. It is to be noted that this is just a prediction of sorts. Despite the numbers on paper at the moment suggesting that this variant is transmitting rapidly, we would have to wait to know exactly what the situation is. For now, all we can do is continue practising the regular COVID appropriate behaviour, as directed by the medical institutions and experts.
When it comes to the symptoms, the matter is as ambiguous as the previous aspects. There is no evidence suggesting that the variant has a different set of infection symptoms compared to the previous iterations. There’s some bad news for the previously infected individuals. The reports that have come in at this early stage suggest that the people who had been previously infected by the coronavirus, despite having recovered from the infection, are at a higher risk of being infected again. This time, by this moderately known variant called Omicron. Other variants of concern that are already out there, such as the Delta variant, has been known not to show such behaviour. It hasn’t shown any sign of putting already infected people at a higher risk, but the Omicron indicates that trend.
The dos and don’ts
With the situation of the outbreak, especially concerning the Omicron variant evolving every passing second, as research and infections continue, the best thing to do is prevent yourself from getting infected, because as they say, ‘prevention is better than cure’.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of the infection, instead of waiting for them to reach a stage where they are severely affecting your health, get yourself tested. The RT-PCR and rapid antigen tests have so far been successful in detecting Omicron infections, so that’s some good news. At least early diagnosis, followed by proper health care, will ensure that people are not that severely affected by the disease. It will also be better for the authorities to single patients out, making sure that proper precautions, isolation measures, and medications along with other aids are in order.
One of the most effective ways of protecting against getting infected and limiting the damage in case of infection has been to get vaccinated. And, as far as initial research goes, the results are not that great to be looked at, but one thing is for sure that the damage inflicted on a person’s body, potentially leading to death, can be limited by getting vaccinated. The vaccines that are available worldwide are effective enough to prevent severe infections against other variants too. So, if not Omicron, a vaccinated individual would be safe from infections that originate from other variants, at the least.
In terms of the medication, the more severely affected patients can be treated using Corticosteroids and IL6 Receptor Blockers. But, at the milder levels of infection, research is on to determine whether the current medicines will be effective against the virus or not.
What are the authorities doing?
Given the currency of this new variant’s surfacing and outbreak and the complexity of the process of conducting any meaningful research, the world authorities have scrambled teams of brilliant minds to study this variant. The World Health Organisation, which has been effectively leading the way in our fight against the virus, has coordinated with researchers across the world to hasten the research process. But everything, especially in the field of science, dealing with such a sensitive issue, takes its due time, and so will this.
While we await further information on the virus, we recommend you get vaccinated if you haven’t already. Ensure that you properly wear good quality masks, ensure hand and overall personal hygiene, stay at least 1 metre away from others, and practice other related appropriate behaviour to keep yourself and others around you safe. Also, do keep an eye on these two portals to keep yourself updated with the latest developments related to the Omicron variant:
The Taiwanese iPhone maker Foxconn has joined hands with oil-to-metals group Vedanta to set up a semiconductor manufacturing unit in India. This new venture is worth $118.7 million and will leave Vedanta with a 60% share. It envisages "a significant boost to domestic manufacturing of electronics in India." A joint statement released stated, “This first-of-its-kind joint venture between the two companies will support Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to create an ecosystem for semiconductor manufacturing in India,”.
Foxconn Vedanta Semiconductor Manufacturing in India Deal Details
To reiterate, the new joint venture born out of this partnership between Taiwan’s Foxconn (also called Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd.) and India’s Vedanta Group aims to start manufacturing semiconductors in India. Although Foxconn is known primarily as a lead iPhone manufacturer, it has been lately venturing into semiconductors for EVs to other electronic goods. So, it’s not exactly clear what would be these utilized for.
Be that as it may, this could be a one of a kind setup that propels domestic manufacturing in the country. The deal is said to be worth $118.7 million with Vedanta as the majority shareholder at 60-per cent. The indigenous group had said back in December 2021, that it will invest up to ₹60,000 crores in the establishment of a chip and glass manufacturing ecosystem in the country over the coming three years.
Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal’s efforts in this direction have finally seen some development. He has also been chaired as the chief of this new venture.
Further, the companies are apparently in talks with various state governments to finalize a location for this unit.
And as you may know, the Union Government is also promising support for such endeavours under its Electronics Manufacturing & Production Linked Incentive scheme. This would come in the form of not just infrastructure support but also speedy bureaucratic approval and clearances. This Foxconn Vedanta deal will thus be the first in the Government’s plan of building at least two semiconductor and two display fabricators in the country. Let’s see how it all comes to fruition.

Activision has confirmed that we will be seeing a sequel to 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare this year. Further, we will also see a “new warzone experience”. The names of the new titles are not yet known. All we know is that the development for both of these will be led by Infinity Ward and the games will feature a new engine. The publisher notes in its release that players can “expect a massive evolution of battle royale with all-new playspace and a new sandbox mode.
Call of Duty 2019 Sequel?
Aside from this, Activision also noted some changes players can expect in Call of Duty: Warzone. These changes are primarily ‘Quality of Life’ improvements that are aimed at making the game less frustrating and more accessible. This includes improvements to movement, vehicle handling, parachute deployment, and collision fixes. Further, the Gas Mask animation will no longer affect players who are aiming down sights. Further, when players insert an armour plate, it will first refill a full plate of armour before filling up the damaged set.
The Season 2 update will also fix some known issues in the game. This includes the problem of specific operator skins being invisible at a distance and blockages to Modern Warfare Multiplayer, which is tied to Warzone’s launcher. Other fixes include Performance and streaming issues, including Buy Station freezes, voice chat connectivity, and distorted graphics. This will be fixed across all platforms.
Activision notes that while its community has been quite vocal about the addition of a Field of View (FoV) slider on console, it will not be able to implement this. At least not at this time. The developers note that adding FoV on consoles in Warzone creates a “major performance” impact on previous-gen consoles. It adds, “Our goal is for Warzone to be a performant experience on all platforms, so we do not plan to implement a FOV Slider on console at this time.”

If you are wondering why you aren’t able to play or even find the Garena Free Fire game on either of the app stores, the unfortunate news for you is that the game has been allegedly banned. Over the weekend, it was being reported that the popular battle royale game has disappeared. Fans of the game have been posting a flurry of tweets about the sudden absence of it. And it’s not just this game, but several other titles have been apparently removed from both Google Play and Apple App stores. According to ET Now, a total of 50 apps of Chinese origin have faced the ban.
#ETNOWExclusive | Government of India bans around 50 more apps. The new ban also includes apps banned earlier but have resurfaced as clones. 270 apps have been banned by GoI so far @NayantaraRai @AshwiniVaishnaw @Rajeev_GoI @GoI_MeitY @PMOIndia pic.twitter.com/74QjJJu8tF
— ET NOW (@ETNOWlive) February 13, 2022
So, as you see, the purview of the ban is said to include some applications that were earlier banned but had returned to the stores as clones. In any case, before this, 270 apps had been expelled out of the two stores in the country. And this new list brings that up to 320.
Garena Free Fire: Possible cause and its clash with PUBG
Now, this ban could be because of the security concerns surrounding Chinese apps in the country, but another thing you need to know is that last month, PUBG developer Krafton had raised a lawsuit against Garena for plagiarism according to The Verge.
The lawsuit alleges Garena for blatantly copying the following elements of the game:
Gameplay and game structure The armour and weaponry in the game In-game maps and locations The “airdrop” sequence at the start. Some aesthetic choices like colour combinations, materials, and textures.
Krafton said, “Free Fire and Free Fire Max extensively copy numerous aspects of Battlegrounds, both individually and in combination, including Battlegrounds’ copyrighted unique game-opening “airdrop” feature, the game structure and play, the combination and selection of weapons, armour, and unique objects, locations, and the overall choice of colour schemes, materials, and textures.”
The South Korean publisher also claimed that it had warned Garena to cease this “exploitation” and even asked both Apple and Google to not just stop hosting and distributing the game on their respective platforms but also wanted YouTube to remove the videos that showcase content related to the said titles.
Garena had squashed the allegations calling the claims by Krafton “groundless”.
As for the current situation, both Garena, as well as the app stores, are yet to release any statement. We will keep you posted on any updates on this news.

PUBG: New State players will soon be able to get their hands on a new set of guns. The February update for the game adds a couple of new weapons as well as some changes to some guns which improves their usability.
PUBG: New State - New weapons
PUBG: New State will get two new weapons. The first is the MP5K SMG that fires 9mm rounds. As with most SMGs, the weapon is best used in close-quarters situations. The gun can be equipped with any attachment and offers easy recoil control. The gun will spawn in Erangel, Troi and the Training Grounds.
The second weapon is one that many BGMI/PUBG: Mobile players will be familiar with. The Crossbow is a completely silent weapon that deals high damage. However, players will be limited to one shot at a time and it features a relatively long reload time. However, players can cut down reload time by 25% by attaching the crossbow-specific attachment. The weapon will use Bolts as ammunition and these will spawn on the field and can be purchased from the Drone Store. The weapon will spawn in Troi, Erangel and Training Ground.
PUBG: New State - Weapon-specific changes
Players of the game will also see new gameplay options with two existing weapons, namely the DSR-1 sniper rifle and the M249 light machine gun. Snipers will now be able to use the DSR-1’s backup magazine, thereby reducing the gun’s reload time. Now, once players use all of the 5 bullets in the primary magazine, the backup 5 bullets can be quickly accessed. However, players will then have to reload both magazines. Tapping the reload button once will reload the main magazine while tapping a second time reloads the backup magazine.
The M249 light machine gun gets a Bullet Shield customisation. This is an attachable shield that can block enemy fire and is impervious to damage. This gives an M249 player additional protection, which makes laying down suppressing fire much easier. However, it should be noted that with this attachment, ADS speed is slightly decreased.

Google has released the Android 13 Developer Preview and as the name tells, this is meant solely for devs to test and try the forthcoming Android update. As for the general audience, the beta builds may surface around April month and “Platform Stability” releases should hit the market sometime in June-July. Now coming to what’s new, Android 13 may feel iterative, at least the Developer Preview (DP) 1. Simply put, Android 13 may build upon the foundation set by Android 12. Let’s see what we mean by that.
Here’s everything new and improved Android 13 brings to the table —
Android 13: Best New Features of Developer Preview 1
1) Apps can now access files like docs, photos, and videos, without seeking permission for all media on the device. This would serve simpler and safer local and cloud-based photo sharing. Google says this feature will be rolled out "to more Android users" through Google Play updates for devices on Android 11 and above (except Android Go).
2) Google Play updates will tend to "more of Android" and as more parts of the Android OS get updated via this service, the burden on platform updates will relax.
3) The whole welcoming approach of Android 13 extends to how the Android apps will be able to connect to nearby devices through WiFi only sans any location permit.
4) Even Material You that was introduced with the previous version will cover more icons, and not only Google’s own. This means all app icons on your phone could match the theme you choose, provided your phone’s OEM and app developers have done their part.
5) Not just icons and themes, but in-app languages could be changed to your liking. These per-app language preferences could also enhance the overall user experience on Android.
6) Apps can offer Quick Setting tiles and you can add more custom tiles thanks to a new API in the system.
These are the most notable new changes and features you get with the Android 13. We will be updating the list as we come across more information.
As for when you can expect beta and release candidates of Android 13, check below:
Android 13: Release Timeline
The Android 13 DP 1 was released on February 10, 2022. Now, the DP2 could come out next month, i.e., March 2022. The first Android 13 beta build may land in April and the second one in May, followed by "Platform Stability" builds in the month of June and July.
In October, you may get the final Stable release of Android 13. We will keep you posted about this schedule and any other details we gather during this course.

The Twitter post envisages the phone’s launch with the phrase, “A Little More Than You’d Expect”. So, let’s have a look at what you can expect from the device.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G: What You Need To Know
The reference to OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G was first caught from the source code of the company’s website only. And later, the device was also spotted as being in for testing on the BIS website. Anyhoo, since then we learned a bunch of other things about the phone such as that it may present a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and HDR10+ certification.
In the teaser clip, we can see that it has a left-cornered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. This is expected to be a 16MP sensor. We also get a quick look at the back camera domino. In it, you may get a 64MP main camera accompanied by an 8MP 119° ultrawide snapper and a 2MP sensor. The rumored max video recording support is 4K30FPS.
A fresh leak by Ishan Agarwal in a handshake with MySmartPrice has revealed more details like the handset will ship with Android 11, support 2 years of OS updates, 3 years of security patches, HDR10+ support on the display, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and the available in colors like Gray Mirror and Bahamas Blue.
Other speculated specs of OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G are a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chip, 6/8GB RAM, 128GB of storage (further expandable using a microSD card), a 4500mAh battery with a rather fast 65W charging support.
Finally, know that the Nord CE 2 has been listed on Amazon India. So that'll be one retail outlet to purchase it.
That’s about it for the time being. However since the launch is just a week from now, we may get more bread crumbs leading to that. In any case, mark your calendars and set reminders for Feb 17 to witness the launch of both the phone and the two TVs.

The NZXT H1 V2 is a compact case for DIY PC builders who prefer a minimalist look while still wanting to pack some of the most powerful hardware you can get in the market today. The original NZXT H1 was launched back in 2020 and the V2 improves upon many of the shortcomings of its predecessor. Small form-factor PC cabinets such as the NZXT H1 V2 have, of late, been gaining in popularity and SFF power supplies have improved to the extent that you can now pack high capacity 850W SFX in these new compact cases. This allows you to build high-end gaming PCs using these cases as long as cooling permits.
NZXT H1 V2 improvements over NZXT H1
Most SFF cases in the market are usually paired with the appropriate power supply since the cases have pre-defined cable routing provisions which require the cables to have a certain length and not much more. Short cables are obviously useless and too much length would mean that more volume is taken up by the cables in a chassis where space is scarce. The NZXT H1 V2 now includes an integrated SFX750 80Plus Gold power supply which carries a separate 10-year warranty coverage.
The GPU compatibility has improved with the NZXT H1 V2. The previous chassis supported GPUs with up to 50mm thickness and 305mm length. The V2 improves upon that and can now fit GPUs that are up to 58mm thick and 324mm long. There's even an additional 92mm fan for the GPU exhaust. Also, the cooling fans of the GPU face a perforated panel which now feature larger perforations. Also, the included PCIe riser card is now rated for PCIe Gen 4.0 in line with standards supported by the flagship GPUs. Speaking of the riser card, the NZXT H1 was criticised for a flaw in the riser card included with the previous chassis which would short out the 12V plane. That had been rectified a couple of weeks after launch and NZXT says that the riser card included with the V2 does not have that problem.
The NZXT H1 V2, like its predecessor, also includes an integrated 140mm AIO CPU cooler. The CPU cooler as well as the 92mm rear exhaust fan for the GPU can be controlled using the NZXT CAM software. The complete list of changes can be seen in the table below:
NZXT H1 V2 Price
The NZXT H1 V2 will be available in white and black colour in the APAC region and it will be priced at USD 349 which works out to be about INR 26,133 without taxes and INR 30,837 with 18 per cent GST. Actual prices in India will vary from vendor to vendor.
Airtel may take lead in hiking mobile call and services rates this year as it looks to increase average revenue per user to Rs. 200, a top official of the company said.

Nvidia has surrendered to the mounting regulatory pressure and scrubbed its arm and a leg offer to buy Arm Limited. This deal with SoftBank Group (Arm’s owner) was announced back in the fall of 2020 with the proposed goals of uniting the physical and intellectual resources of both brands, driving forward the industrial innovation, and still maintaining “Arm’s open-licensing model and customer neutrality”. However, this faces a lot of headwinds from regulatory bodies as well as tech giants who were reliant on Arm designs and feared such a deal would put Nvidia in a place of unfair advantage.
Nvidia stresses this in its press release, saying, “The parties agreed to terminate the Agreement because of significant regulatory challenges preventing the consummation of the transaction, despite good faith efforts by the parties. Arm will now start preparations for a public offering.”
Jensen Huang, founder, and CEO of the GPU giant tries to keep his chin up, as he says, “Arm has a bright future, and we’ll continue to support them as a proud licensee for decades to come. Arm is at the centre of the important dynamics in computing. Though we won’t be one company, we will partner closely with Arm. The significant investments that Masa (Masayoshi Son) has made have positioned Arm to expand the reach of the Arm CPU beyond client computing to supercomputing, cloud, AI, and robotics. I expect Arm to be the most important CPU architecture of the next decade.”
Termination of Nvidia-Arm Takeover And Its Aftereffects
Now that the Nvidia deal has collapsed, SoftBank (SBG) will be taking Arm public. This Arm IPO is planned to take place within the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023. Further, the Arm owner is reportedly trying to list Arm (a British company) in the US Nasdaq instead of London as the former market is considered more suitable for raising funds for technology companies. And this has also spurred some concerns over London’s ability to grow and sustain domestic tech ventures.
Not just that, close to the announcement of the deal’s failure, we have learned that Arm has got a new CEO. The previous head, Simon Segars has stepped down for Rene Haas. And as the newly appointed Arm chief, Mr. Haas has said nothing has been confirmed yet but he feels the timing of the proposed IPO is “just right”.
He adds that more funds would be invested in new IP for its current computing ecosystem, the automotive sector, as well as the metaverse.
Meanwhile, Masayoshi Son, Chairman & CEO, SBG said, “Arm is becoming a centre of innovation not only in the mobile phone revolution, but also in cloud computing, automotive, the Internet of Things and the metaverse, and has entered its second growth phase. We will take this opportunity and start preparing to take Arm public, and to make even further progress. I want to thank Jensen and his talented team at NVIDIA for trying to bring together these two great companies and wish them all the success.”
