With such a massive user base, the Facebook-owned chat service has been constantly working on making its user experience more sophisticated. WhatsApp also offers many features that allow users to creatively communicate their feelings, emotions, and thoughts. Apart from the typical image and video sharing features, WhatsApp now has features that allow users to exchange stickers, GIFs, and doodles. If that isn't enough, WhatsApp also has a tool that allows users to transform relatively short clips into GIFs as well. Aside from that, WhatsApp intends to make the multi-device capability available to all users too. Pop-ups touting multi-device compatibility have appeared for certain WhatsApp beta users. Now, users will be able to access the messaging software on their phones as well as four other devices once the multi-device capability is rolled out.
But that is not all, WhatsApp is now planning to roll out more features with future updates.
New WhatsApp image to sticker featureIf you are a WhatsApp user you will know that, up until today, the only method to add stickers to the app was to use third-party sticker applications to convert your own image into a sticker. But with future updates, users may now transform photographs into WhatsApp stickers directly within the app.
When WhatsApp adds this capability to its Android and iOS apps, a new sticker symbol will appear to the right of the View Once option in the caption bar, according to its blog site. The supplied image will be shared as a sticker when WhatsApp users pick this Caption button. This sticker comes in a square box configuration, similar to that of many third-party sticker packs. There are no possibilities to change the sticker before sharing it right now. Users are unable to remove a specific element from an image they have submitted. They also won't be able to turn it into an animated sticker by adding movement. At least not yet. It's possible that WhatsApp will add this feature when it refines the current feature.
Availability of the new Sticker featureIn terms of availability, this WhatsApp feature is currently in development, which means that the messaging app is working on it to verify that it runs smoothly before releasing it. It's being made for WhatsApp's Android and iOS applications. It's possible that WhatsApp will add the ability to transform photographs into stickers in a future update to its WhatsApp beta for iOS and WhatsApp beta for Android apps. Beta users, thus, might get to check out this feature soon enough.
